At It Again! :)

OK, friends! I am one week into a regular cardio/weights/strenght training program! I need to be beach-ready by June! So, in an effort to make my clothes fit a little better, and like my body more, I am doing AT LEAST a 3-day/week program. The nice thing is it is working great for me, because I can do it at home or the gym. I can also modify what I do depending on if I have to work or be somewhere else. I have enlisted Alesia, one of my friends to make this program work. She comes over (so then I have to get out of bed!) and we can work out while our kids play--Perfect!! :)

It's been awhile!

OK, so I haven't written in a LONG while! I was doing great & then started my new job. I fell off the wagon! So, I am here to say that it is OK to not stick with something as long as you are willing to climb back on. So, my workouts as of late include some cross fit with friends @ the YMCA, occasional volleyball in a league at the YMCA & anything else that helps me break a sweat! Today my workout was lunges, calf-raises and a hundred under-dogs while my kids were swinging at the park!!! Also, it always seems to amaze me how you want to eat better when you feel better by exercising. So, do what you love & love what you do! Just make an effort each day to try to better your mind, body & spirit! ;) Brooke

Week 1 down!!

Done with week 1, & every muscle in my body is sore today! It always amazes me how soon you notice changes in your body. I can already see slight differences, along with more energy. Exercise is so good for the mind, body & soul! Just what the doctor ordered. . . join me!!

Day 1

Here we go! I had planned to start early this morning, but as things often do, it did not work out, so here I am. It is the end of the day, I am tired and I am going to do this. So, off to the basement to start day 1 of P90X! No excuses!!! I am committed to getting into shape! :)

Getting started, again. . .

Here I go again! I am starting P90X tomorrow! I need motivation and a lot of determination, but I am committed to finishing the program. I do not like how my clothes fit. I do not like my energy level, and I am out of excuses! I was busy with school, life, etc. Not anymore! Now, I have tons of time, and I need to give myself a gift. A gift of being in shape and loving my body! I have a few friends who are currently doing the program, so hopefully, through them, I'll remain motivated. If you want, jump on the bandwagon! I can use all the help I can get, and we ALL benefit! Good luck to me! Good luck to you! We can do this! Day one: August 9th. . . ugh! (I mean, YEAH!!!) :)
