BellaBarre Method

Consistent with my focus on the BUTT - I tried something new today and did a Barre class.  Now I understand why dancers have such great long lines and great legs.  It was an awesome experience and I recommend everyone trying new things to keep your interest strong and to have fun.  Makes me wonder what the Ballet Booty is like from Beach Body.  Great stuff.

Day 13 Done - Brazilian Butt

Still working at the BBL and learning to like it - I am starting to see improbements in strength as I work through the High and Tight and may jump up my weights next week on the ankle weights.  I also have heavier resistance bands that I will play around with as well.  WHat I love about Beachbody is no mater your fitness experience or history the programs find a way to challenge everyone.  Keep pushing play and find a way to get it done!

Brazilian Butt 3/7/2012

I am going to attempt to be better at Blogging thi experience.  I have just got over some serious back issues and have started Brazilian Butt on 3/7/2012.  What's funny is I have completed several rounds of P90X, multiple rounds of Insanity and Insanity The Asylum and Rev Abs but NEVER have been able to follow through and complete Brazilian Butt after having started it multiple times.  WHY?  Because I hate these exercises - I hate them but I LOVE them.  I need this as it is one of my trouble areas.  I am excited to track my journey and finish it strong.  My plans are to add a hybrid after 30 days and will track my journey.  Thanks for the support.

Injury - Set Back

Anyone who has followed my histroy knows that I am an advid tennis player.  I had an injury that is really affecting me and I want to share about it and how frustrating it is.  Last week I had our Club Singles Tournament and last year I was the Women's Singles Champion at our club.  I wanted to repeat so I was careful to keep fresh legs for my singles matches.  Last Wednesday I lost to an excellent player.  I continued to play for the consolation round and sucessfully beat a great opponent last Sunday.  I had planned to start my round to Assylum this past Monday but during Sunday's match jammed my big toe running full speed for a drop shot.  I got the drop shot but failed to stop short to avoid the net.  I thought I jammed my toe nail through my skin.  It hurt sooooo bad.  Instantly the nail turned black and blue.  Tons of pain that has gotten worse.  Thinking I have a version of Turf Toe.  This has been a big tennis week and I have only played tennis and have not ventured into my workouts because of the pain.

My plan is to lay off of the Assylum and try to start either next week or the following.  I may do workouts this weekend to get back into the feel as long as my pain is reduced.  I have had to play tennis everyday this week and have a fun match tonight and state league match tomorrow night.  I am going to be conservative through this to make sure that I can bounce back.

 

Can't wait to push play.

Insanity The Asylum - Round 2

Yesterday I completed Round 1 of Insanity the Asylum and despite amazing improvements in my spped and agility I did not see significant results in my measurements.  Unfortuantely the end of Asylum's days coincides with my special time of the month which can effect my measurements greatly - especially in my waist.  Nevertheless, this gives me great inspiration to follow the nutrition more strictly and do a better job with fitting in Relief into my program.

GOALS for Round 2:

Focus on nutrition with emphasis on Shaun T's plan which includes reducing carbs in the evening

Summer Cheer bring summer alcohol consumption which is unuaual for this Beachbody girl.  I will do my best to reduce the Cheer in an effort to not sabitoge my workouts.

Move past the threshold and push past being uncomfortable.  The exception to this is the injury to my bicep.  I still need to be cautious with push-ups and must focus on strenghening the back when I can't do more with push-ups and restrictions from bicep tendon injury.

Once I accomplish these goals I will allow myself to submit my results and earn my tshirt.  The next thirty days starts on Monday, July 11, 2011 - Tuesday, August, 9, 2011.

This week I will recover and test out some TRX and Relief to prepare for my start on 7/11/2011.  Can't wait.
