As I look back at my old entries and what I have accomplished so far, I can say that I am very happy with what I have done so far. For about 2 years, I couldn't even move, bend, let alone exercise because of a bulging disc. I still have to be very careful, but I have managed to alleviate that pinched nerve by acupunture and then slowly incorporating exercise and weight loss. I have managed to maintain my 18 lbs. weight loss until these past couple of months, gaining about 10 lbs. back, but I guess that's pretty good considering the time period. Well, today is a new year and a new day and I'm going to move forward again, setting up small goals to reach. My first goal will be to lose 10% of my total weight. Little baby steps. Mind you, I am first going to lose those 10 lbs. first to go back to my original 10% goal of 18 lbs. I have 10 lbs. to go to achieve my original weight loss from 2 years ago. Then I can go back and do 10% of my new weight. I am also going to track my food intake and really watch my food portions. That has been a big problem with me. I have my scale ready to go for when I have to weigh my portions out. I've been writing down everything I eat too, a hard thing for me to do.
Here's to 2011 and moving forward . . .
