Last Day of Making my 20's Proud..Random Advice, Knowledge, Thoughts, and Future Events!

I may not be 21 anymore, but do I really want to be? Not really. At 21, I had no house, no full time job, didn't know how to run, and didn't have the love of my life. I am fine just where I am.

emoticon I hadn't planned on any presents to myself this year, but since the IPOD is going to RIP-I guess that means I will be buying a new Nano or Touch this weekend. Now to decide/research which-in the end not a bad present I guess (just unexpected).

emoticon I was able to graduate college, buy a house, get braces on and off (and pay for them-yikes), learn to run, become a personal trainer and wellness coach, get several full time jobs, find my faith, buy my first new vehicle, get out of bad relationships, complete my first half marathon, had 3 surgeries, meet the man of my dreams, and travel to Europe, Hawaii, Chicago, Florida, Bahamas, Washington DC, Jamaica, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, California (as well as several other places I am sure I forgot!) all in my 20's. And I am not even tired.

emoticon They say women peak in their running (as well as another unmentionable area-wink wink) in their early 30's. Bring it on!

emoticon People always make fun of me and my goals/to do lists. I LOVE to write to do lists and cross things off each day. You can think I am a crazy person all you want, but watch this blog before you do: www.turbokick.com/wblog/

emoticon I was quite crabby this weekend. I wasn't feeling well (got to love a bad stomach), my treadmill is still broken, my IPOD broke, my heart rate monitor wouldn¡¦t read right, and it was yet AGAIN snowing. I guess I have the right to be crabby-but part of me feels guilty. Some people have it a lot worse off than I. So while I may still be crabby-at least I'll do it in perspective!

emoticon emoticon I have found that a good run can cure almost any stress I have.

emoticon I blogged quite a bit this week about being the "exception" in this world of unhealthy. I honestly would eat healthier anyway, but due to my stomach I am forced to more so than I probably want at times. I often feel like the odd man out. Most times it doesn't bother me, but sometimes it does. As time goes on though, I am learning to be more and more comfortable with this and learn that it's a LIFESTYLE, not something that happens when it's convenient for me. I actually changed a few things in my nutrition (notice I did not say diet-I do NOT diet!) this week, which will also help my stomach more too. We'll see how it goes- all I can do is try!

emoticon I am traveling to Jackson, MS next week for work. Should be a good test for me to stay active and eat clean while on the road! Wish me luck peeps!

emoticon emoticon I have learned that while I have a different relationship with each person in my family, I love them all the same. My dad, mom, older sister Jess, brother in law Kyle, little sister Sierra (yes I am the middle of 3 girls-I was deprivedƒº), nephews Knick and Kaleb, and niece Kaleigh all make me a better person in different ways. And when the time comes for my better half to "officially" enter our family, they will be just as happy (if not happier) than me that day-because they always want what's best for me and know it's being with him. I sometimes think they like him better than me! I wouldn't have it any other way¡K

emoticon Events for the year (aka Rocking 30 out!) that are FINALIZED!
o Team Beachbody Game Plan Event (Lincoln, NE): February 27. This is open to coaches or guests. I hope to meet a lot of you there, if you are from Iowa and want to join us-let me know!
o Rock N Roll Half Marathon (Nashville, TN): April 24. I am all registered, so if anyone is in the area and wants to run or meet up let me know!
o Rock N Roll Half Marathon (Chicago, IL): Aug 1. I am all registered for this one too and have several peeps going with me! Hope everyone that is going or wants to go will contact me (running or not!).

emoticon I am also hoping to set up some meetings with fellow Team Beach body and Spark friends. If anyone wants to meet up this year, let me know and we'll get something going! I hope to organize some group events as well as some smaller group meetings as well. Hoping some of them are more race/workout oriented, while some others will be more for fun! If interested, contact me!

emoticon I am hoping to get some new pics up soon and also start a weekly educational blog. My first one will be on Shakeology! I hope to also blog on Insanity, ChaLEAN Extreme, Turbo, BMR, Eating Clean, etc. If you have any topics you want some more info on, let me know!

Thanks to each and every one of you for making me who I am! I love hearing from you, so contact me anytime!

First blog of yours I've read. Love it! Can't wait for the educational blogs. I'm interested in everything you mentioned above! Going to seriously think about Shakeology, but will need to wait a while before I can spend anymore money. Right now I'm just enjoying ChaLEAN Extreme (started Week 2/Burn Phase today) and used more weights than last week. Woo Hoo!
