I did my kicks with a stool!!!

Finally, yesterday, when doing P90X Plyometrics, I worked up enough nerve to use a stool for those "swing kick" things - I can't remember the name of them to save my life. I am a short girl - barely 5' 2" - so the thought of putting the stool in front of me to kick over terrified me. This is my 4th round of P90X, and I've NEVER tried it with the stool. But, yesterday, I saw the stool I had under my pull-up bar, pulled it out, and did my swing kicks right over it. Guess what, I'd been kicking way higher than the stool for a long time.

It really got me thinking about how many times in life I sell myself short. I don't even give myself a chance to succeed out of fear of failing or not being able to do it. That's just sad. My challenge now is to try something every day, that I haven't tried before. If I fail, no big deal. At least I TRIED! Kind of like the old quote "shoot for the moon and even if you miss, you'll still be among the stars!"
