Good morning everyone! As I write this, it is a beautiful sunny day, and I've just completed my daily workout.
Every year, I make out a new set of goals, writing them down as Chalene Johnson recommends. This year, I just can't think of what my goals will be. Last year, I accomplished most of the ones I set out for myself. I'm pretty happy and just don't know what to strive for this year. This perplexes me, as I always want to challenge myself with new things.
So, what to do?
Well, I do know that one of my goals for the year is to do at least ONE pull-up without the assistance of a chair. Now, this makes me nervous for some reason. You see, last week, I started a new hybrid with P90X and Brazil Butt Lift. I haven't done any P90X workouts for a while and, due to an injury on Christmas, I hadn't done ANY weight work in two weeks.
Man, let me just tell you how SORE I was after P90X Chest & Back. And, then add in Shoulders and Arms just two days later. Then, BBL Bum Bum and High & Tight just days after that. I don't think there was any muscle in my body that WASN'T sore this week.
So, here I am, the end of the week, and I've got to start the week over on Monday with Chest & Back. And, frankly, I'm nervous. I was just SO sore just from doing pullups with a chair. Can I possibly accomplish my goal of eventually doing just one without assistance?
One thing is for sure, I'll certainly try. Even if this is the only goal I end up making for myself this year, it will be something to strive for and it will involve me pushing myself in every aspect of my fitness. From being consistent in my workouts to eating clean, I will not be able to slack if I want to accomplish this goal.
