Big Run Today on my INSANITY "Day Off"

I realize that a good recovery day is a must...but I woke up this morning just craving a nice run up some hills...so I ventured out into and up the hills of Rancho Palos Verde Estates, where (if you haven't been there)...are hard to drive a car up...let a lone run up.  2 hours of running later, I was back in my car, and feeling GREAT!

I'm down about 5 lbs since starting INSANITY...I've killed about 2.5% body fat...and more importantly, I feel good.  The energy level is up....the calories are right about 2000, with about 45% from protein....35% from good carbs...and 20% from good fat.

After my run, I kept with a good calorie split, but did endulge on some potato gnochi, which is tough to beat.  (my fave).

Back to INSANITY tomorrow!!  (I'm going to regret that run)  :)

Last week before "recovery week" and then I jump into the more difficult 2nd month...but this week will fly by as did last week, and then I'm basically 1/2 way home.  Looking forward to a recovery week after that...followed by my first round of P90X! as....my shoulder should be ready to go.

I figure I'll have completed INSANITY, and one round of P90X by June, and summer should be more than enjoyable!

Cheers to good health!

Britt

Days #7 though #11 are gonzo!

5 more days in the books!  Tough week...due to not quite getting the sleep I needed.  So, moving forward the goal will be an increase in both sleep and water intake.

Looking forward to Cardio Abs on Saturday!

Peace.

2nd go round with Plyometric Cardio Circuit

Day #6!  2nd go round with the Plyometric Cardio Circuit...and while I haven't noticed anything different regarding appearance (weight, etc) which I'm not concerned about at this point anyway....my improvement from the first time I did this exercise is night and day!  Super happy with the effort.  Tomorrow....OFF!  (although I'll probaby sneak in a little run...just to keep moving).

Update on INSANITY Day #5

Little update on Day #5.

Pure Cardio today, and it was by far my best effort thus far.  I'm starting to feel the more healthy diet boosted by a daily dose of Shakeology kick in after two weeks.  I say this because my energy level is up...and most importantly when I'm asleep, I'm sound asleep...and when I'm awake, I feel more alert than I have in some time.

Goals as I'm nearing the 2nd go round of the INSANITY cycle:

1.  More water.  My intake is good...but I feel I need more.                                           2.  Maintain the diet.                                                                                                         3.  More concentration on each move.  Especially the push ups, etc. now that the shoulder is getting better day by day.                                                                             4.  More sleep.  I'm sleeping soundly as I mentioned...but I'm going to try and increase the sack time by 1 hour per night.

Can't wait until I fire it up again on Day #6...and then week #2!

Day 1 of Insanity

Finished the "Fit Test" for the INSANITY work-out...or should I say at this point at least....the "Un-Fit Test" :) It wasn't so much that the test kicked my (cough!)....but the fact that my better half did it right after I did, and of course thought it necessary to better my numbers on pretty much every exercise. An eye-opener to say the least!

It did go well though, and after beginning my diet a week prior to starting, we're definitely rolling in the right direction. Started the day with a light jog, just to start the calories burning...and get the blood pumping.

Definitely looking forward to "the real day one" tonight!
