Well, I just logged back in to TBB after a whopping 9 month hiatius! We've moved, we've aquired a new pony and sold one horse (still have Trooper and new pony, Willie) and we are now adopting 2 children from the Philippines! And my plantar faciitius is almost healed in my rt foot, so I can workout easy to start. I've gotten back to my starting weight from 5 years ago and things are changing!
Adoption: The application has been approved and low and behold, both mine and my husband's BMI ratios are a bit out of range from where the Philippine Govt wants their USA adoptive parents to be. SO = lose weight or no babies. THAT'S MOTIVATION!
Granted, I only need to lose 8 lbs to squeak into the "Range" but that's not what I want. I want/need to be healthy for myself, for my husband and for the 2 children we will be bringing home in 18-24 months. So, here I am again, and instead of "trying" to get fit I am retraining myself to think of it as "training" to be and stay fit and healthy.
Trying vs Training: When we think about "Trying" - we don't have to really put forth an effort. Why? Because somewhere in the human (especially American) psychie we think that THINKING about something IS Trying! (Don't lie - you've done it too.) But when we think about TRAINING it means that we ARE DOING something about the situation. So, I am in Training.
I'm back in the saddle with the super glue this time and don't plan on falling off again... with God's grace and holding on to Him - I can and will do this!
