Beachbody Ultimate Reset Days 1 & 2 Done!

Hey everyone! Its been a while since I blogged here! Just wanted to let you know that I'm doing the Beachbody Ultimate Reset with my husband and we just knocked out days 1 & 2.

Ultimate Reset is a 21 day cellular reset for your health. I didn;t have any major health concerns, but as a coach I flet the need to do this so I can help others through it.

So far I LOVE IT! And the best part is that my veggie-challenged husband love it too!

I wish I could post pictures of the delicious food you eat while doing this. But I will post in my off-site blog www.xtremefitnessathome.com and that will have photos soon!

Have a great night!

Love & light!

Jessica

Procrastination

Today is Wednesday and according to flylady.net it's also Anti-Procrastination Day.

So many of us put things off, not so much because we're lazy, but because deep down inside of all of us is a perfectionist who fears failure.

Our inner-perfectionist wants the perfect conditions to start. He or she wants a perfect outcome. That little bugger also wants to succeed without failing. But most experts will tell you that the only way to true success is through many failures.

Yes, failure is part of the learning process. How many times does a baby fall on their bottom before they walk? If they gave up on that first fall or never tried for fear of falling, we'd have a society of crawlers!!

Yeah, I'm guilty of all this too. I put off a lot of things because I want the perfect circumstances. I actually held off on starting a hobby that had been burning inside of me because I thoguht the time wasn't right. But guess what? My husband bought me the DSLR camera for my birthday! In the past, I feared purchasing a DSLR because I thought taking care of the kids would hold me back from learning how to use it. Well, I'm happy to report that I have taken almost 900 photos since March 9th (my b-day was the 8th)!!! That's a lot of photos for someone who feared not haivng the time to learn about the camera!

I learned that the best way to learn about my DSLR was to just use it and not be afraid of making mistakes!!!

So what is it that you want to start or need to begin and just keep putting it off because your inner perfectionist tells you not to? Is it opening up your Beachbody workout and actually starting it? Is it following the nutrition guide that comes with it? Is it maybe starting Shakeology? Maybe its becoming a coach and you feel you still need to lose 35 lbs? Whatever it is, stop putting it off and just do it! You'll make a lot of mistakes!!! But you'll be doing it and learning from those mistakes!

Love & Light!

Jessica

You get what you pay for

As I was vacuuming today, I was really taken aback by how much I enjoyed the task lately. Weird, right? But recently my husband and I decided enough was enough with the less expensive vacuums always letting us down. We decided to bite the bullet and invest in a Dyson. Now vacuuming is easy, fun and fast! And then it dawned on me that this investment was truly worth the money.

The same can be said of Beachbody workouts and supplements, especially Shakeology. Yes, you can go to Wal-mart and get workout dvds, but they're not going to come with everything you get from Beachbody workouts. When you spend a little bit extra, you really get much more value for your money. You get a nutrition guide, you get support from a coach, you get great customer service.

When you choose supplements, you can find them anywhere at almost any store now. But when you want the very best for your body, Shakeology is there for you. Yes, it is expensive. But also wasting money on products that are mediocore can be costly too. And medications to treat high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar can also be costly too. I'd rather make the investment in my health and not have to worry about it as much.

So the next time you feel like you want to cut corners, or save a few bucks, think about this; you get what you pay for.

You really and truly do!

Stress, Sickness and Exercise

Man what a week! I had a nasty head cold that kicked my butt during the mornings. Morning workouts had to be moved to the afternoon. Its good to have flexibility in your schedule if you can!

Sleep is very important and your body needs it to heal and repair from the stress of the day. So making sure I got enough in was important.

Then boom! On Friday I felt even worse than the rest of the week! And then I had some school bus issues with my 10 year old son So besides feeling sick & tired, I was stressed out too! Ugh! And not to mention I was also experiencing that time....

Yesterday was the perfect day to exercise IF my body had felt up to it. Exercise is a great way to relieve stress. But my body must have been fighting the last of this cold and just wanted to rest. I took my body's advice and used yesterday as a total rest & recovery day. I did a little light housework and took it easy.

Today I feel like a new person! The head cold is just about gone! I slept awesome and the stress of yesterday is behind me!!

I'm going to tackle some Les MIlls Pump & Shred now and get my KIA KAHA on!

Super Bowl Sunday!

Who do you want to win? Do you really care?

I'm hoping the Giants win, but I'm not a sore loser or sore winner!

We have our own tradition of having a small party with just us!! It just hubby, me & our 4 kids ages 12, almost 11, 6 and 3!

Today's Super Bowl menu will consist of healthier Buffalo chicken tenders, healthier layered Mexican bean dip, and maybe a homemade, whole wheat pizza.

Have a Super Sunday!
