excuses, excuses...enough!

it's been a crazy few months since my last post.  during thanksgiving, my sister had a third occurrence of ovarian cancer.  I found it hard to concentrate on anything other than my sister getting through treatment and getting well. at a time I needed my workouts, I put them on the backburner.  I found I could only concentrate on two things, my family and getting through each day of work (which has been nonstop busy for me).

with great relief, I can now say my sister is cancer free!  her pet scans were normal (as of 2/26) and her CA125 counts are well within the normal range.  I now have some peace of mind and I'm ready to start over.

work is still very busy for me so I decided power 90 in home boot camp would fit better with my schedule.  I would love to do p90x, but I have no time.  power 90 will allow me to get the weight workout I'm missing and also give me time to start running.  I've committed to running a 1/2 marathon june 26 and need to start training.  this will be my first 1/2 marathon and I'm nervous and excited!  my goal is to finish within a reasonable time.  and who knows, I may love it and do more races...we'll see. :)

tomorrow, I start the 6 day fat burning slim down plan and then on to power 90.

change in plans

so I've decided to not 'bring it' quite yet.  my husband would like to do his second round of p90x with a buddy...ME!  I was more than happy to oblige.  my husband decided to join me on my fitness journey back in june and has been uber-supportive.  now it's my turn to support him and workout together.  in the meantime, I ordered rev abs and will be starting that next week.

this weekend, I will finally meet my coach face to face and I'm so EXCITED!  We are attending the Game Plan Road Show in Tacoma...I'm ready to be inspired!

p90x - so ready to BRING IT!

I've come so far since June 1.  since that time, I have completed chalean extreme and most of insanity.  what is 'most of insanity' you ask?  during the second month, I started getting busy with work and couldn't commit 6 days a week for an hour at a time.  so instead, I did insanity 4x/week and supplemented with other workouts based on available time.  the bottom line...I remained committed to working out!  I made great progress in october but I'm not ready for an 'after' photo just yet. I'll be starting p90x in november and I'm so excited!  my goal is to finally be able to post that 'after' pic and be even more proud on how far I have come!  BRING IT!!!
