You're getting sleeeeepy...

OK, missed my check-in yesterday.  I've noticed that I've been snatching a few more minutes of sleep each morning, so I snapped back to getting up at 6 this morning.  Let's just say that a good B-Complex supplement has proven to be helpful.

Just got back in from refilling the wood rack and moving a couple more wheelbarrow loads of wood to the front porch for easy access as the snow gets deeper. :)

Time to sign off for today and get some morning reading time in.  Drop me a note and let me know how you're doing today...hopefully not as sleeeeepy. lol

Brrrrr....

Woke up to a very chilly house this morning.  When I went to bed last night it was still 70 deg so I didn't think I needed to stoke up the wood stove.  The weather had been warmer yesterday, but must have chilled overnight.  But, the stove is burning nicely now and we'll soon be back at a comfortable temperature.  I love wood heat!

I did well on my goal list yesterday.  The only item I didn't get in was my Bible reading.  Keeping the same list for today.

  1. No Junk Food (from week 1)
  2. Bedtime is 10pm (so, no eating after 7pm)
  3. Bible reading in the morning
  4. Spend some time continuing to clean/organize my room each day

I'm really enjoying these morning check-ins with all of you.  Let me know if you're posting your check-ins somewhere, I'd love to add them to my morning reading!

Time to finish my Shakeology (greenberry this month) and hit the shower...got a haircut at 9:30 and a great day of getting project work done ahead!

Got my sweat on

Good morning!  Time for a fitness check in.

Yesterday went good...not perfect...but good.  I ate healthy meals with reasonable portions.  No junk food, although the golden arches were calling to me when I was out running my errands.  I did eat an apple after my 7pm cutoff, but I'm happy it was a healthy choice.

I went to bed at 10pm.  Woke up at 3am and took a while to fall back asleep, but I feel well rested this morning (that could be because I slept in till 7 when I meant to get up at 6 haha).

Bible reading done yesterday...this morning is running tight, but I'll get in a chapter before I hit the shower.

Room organization...got the laundry folded but need to remember that goal a bit more today.

Got in a half hour of wood stacking this morning...got a good sweat on.

How did you do?  Set a couple healthy goals for today (I'm staying with the same list as yesterday) and we'll see each other tomorrow!

Day 1...redux

Good morning, everyone!

So, how many times in my life have I said "Today is Day 1 of my new fitness life!"?  Let's just say it's been a few times. :)

But, you know, every day is a "Day 1."  We make choices today that affect our health and fitness.  Every day is a fresh opportunity to make good choices.  If yesterday was a success, then we can build on that.  If yesterday was one of those days we'd rather forget, no problem, today is a different day.

I'm working through The Easy Six Week Diet Transition from our very own Beachbody guru Steve Edwards.  In week 1 I eliminated junk food.  It's time for week 2 where I don't eat 3 hours before bedtime.  (If you want the full 6 week description just drop me a note, I'll send a copy your way!)

Here's my list for this week:

Welcome Back!

Today I got back on a regular fitness program.  I've been doing "Great Stretch" the past couple of weeks to get my body used to moving again.  Today I Pushed Play with "Start It Up" from Slim in 6.

This is a great starter program for those of us who have really been pretty much inactive for some time and need to ease back into it.  I've got a good sweat going on, so I'm happy with my efforts today.
