I think I found an Ab!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to take a second to update everyone on how my P90X/Insanity hybrid has been working out while patiently waiting for work to end at 3 at UPS! I am approaching my first recovery week and I am feeling better then ever. I have lost 5 more pounds, but the biggest changes I see are in my endurance and in my core.

The addition to Shakeology and Insanity in my everyday routine, along with P90X has been golden. I have more energy then I can ever remember, and I am able to bring it a lot harder in my workouts then ever before. I can really push through the tough parts of Insanity now, and get those few extra reps that I desired before when doing P90X.

Insanity pretty much shreds your core in every workout.  That has been my biggest problem area, and that is why I turned to Insanity to help me out. I am noticing my core area is much harder and I'm starting to see the definition of where my Abs are supposed to be! Haven't seen that in over 4 years! I also attribute my success to Shakeology.

Shakeology is amazing. I can't express how awesome it tastes! I look forward to having that as a meal everyday when I am starting to get my chocolate cravings, and trust me, I get plenty of them! But with the addition to Shakeology to my diet, my cravings are gone.

I still have a long ways to go before I reach my fitness goals, but I feel that with the addition of Insanity and Shakeology to my workout routine, I will be getting those 6 pack abs that I have been craving in no time!

Don't be stupid

Hey everyone,

Today started off great since I had a rare day off from UPS! Slept in until 10:30 and enjoyed a breakfast that consisted of an egg white breakfast sandwich with turkey bacon, along with a bowl of blueberries, strawberries, non-fat yogurt, and Maine Sprinkles.  If you are wondering what the Maine Sprinkles phenomenon is, I will let you know soon!

The topic of discussion today is knowing your limits, and not being stupid with your exercises. You can not be performing a workout like you're superman if there is something bothering you.  For instnance, I have been battling a shoulder problem for a few months now. It has been a set back in my workout program, but with some phyiscal therapy and working out smart, I have slowly healed it close to full strength.

However, genius here thought he WAS superman on Monday.  I had felt great all day long and I had increased every exercise in my routine by quite a bit.  I was feeling strong, and wanted to push myself. Great idea...NOT! While doing diver bombers in the P90X Chest and Back workout, I tweaked my shoulder.  Lucky for me, it was nothing serious, but it was definitely a sign that was put out in front of me saying "Don't be Stupid!"

So the moral of the story today is to know your limits.  You have to be smart while doing Beachbody workouts, or any kind of workouts for that matter.  You can still get a good workout in a day even if you are pushing your limits.  Take care of your body, and your hard work will pay off!

Beachbody Coach

Hi Folks.

With this being my first blog entry, I am proud to say that I have successfully become an Independent Team Beachbody Coach, and I honestly could not be more thrilled! I am looking forward to working with everyone to achieve their fitness goals, along with improving my OWN fitness.  I am on a journey now to achieve the best fitness of my life, and I want YOU to join me.

I have started the second week of my P90X/Insanity hybrid, which by the way, are both unbelievable programs.  You get such a great workout between the two.  Today I have Insanity Plyo Cardio Circuit which is one of the best workouts I have done so far.  You get such an unreal sweat, and you have fun doing it! I'm looking forward to phases 2 and 3 of this hybrid to get into the MAX Cardio workouts!

Before I end today, let me ask you this: Are you living a healthy lifestyle? Do you feed your body with the right nutrients and foods that it craves everyday (ie. Fruits, Vegetables, Lean Protein, Whole grains, etc.) Are you staying active in your lifestyle? Studies show that someone that simply eats the right things and walks 20 minutes a day, is likely to live a longer healthier life than someone that sits around all day eating junk food.  Why aren't we taking advantage of this while we can? I leave it to you, the choice is yours. Get active, eat right, and enjoy life!
