60 Days and The Body Fat Water Tank Test Results

Positive news today! Went for 8 week follow up at the Body Fat Water Tank Test Lab and am pleased with the results. In preparation for P90X I had a complete physical from my cardiologist. The results were that I was very overweight with good blood pressure, and fair cholesteral. The doctor recognized my seriousness about P90X and suggested I get a true baseline of my body fat percentage through the use of a water tank test. He even said he will help pay for them if I was truly as dedicated as I seemed. So on September 17th I took the test and wthe results stunned me, not only by the percentage of fat that made up my body but also exactly hoew many pounds of fat I had.

The good news! 59 days later on November 16th I went back for a 8 week follow up and learned I lost 10 pounds of fat, gained 3 pounds of muscle, with a 3% decrease in body fat. What a great discovery. The technician said this is a tremendous beginning of a true body transformation. He says 99% of people loose both fat and muscle and he was extemely surprised that I managed to have such great results. He suggested I not lose more than 1-1/2 pounds a week and to keep doing what I'm doing. He stated, eat the right foods and not to cut to many calories, that my body needs them to fuel this transformation. I'm scheduled to go back in 90 days.

50th workout

I can't believe it, 50 workouts! I'm pleased with so many things it's hard to describe. There are so many positives. More energy, more athletic, a hop in my step, more confidence, eating better, kids are proud, Missy is proud, a handful of people have noticed a difference in my appearance, less fat jabs from friends, much better performance and stamina during workouts. Ready to step it up next week in phase 3.

I must not let the negatives get me down or slow me down. My picture I just added is extremely disappointing. Mirrors and pictures don't lie but I swear I just dont feel like I look as fat as I am. I will certainly continue to be diligent. It took me 5 years to get fat and I know it will take a while to get rid of it. It just seems like I'm smaller than I really am. It's hard to grasp. I've worked so hard and am ready for critics of my weight to say WOW, but it's no where near that time yet.

My goal is to finish phase 3 in 30 days (mid December) with fair results, then finish the 90 day program again (mid March) then it will be time for the results I'm desperately searching for. Then at the end of the 3rd set of 90 days (mid June), I will be back to the top of my game. Doesn't seem so bad when I break it down.

I will succeed.
