Wow.....

I started on August 16th, and it took me this long to get through one week of workouts.  I really like the program, and the yoga seems to be the hardest one for me.  I am motivated to do this, but have a hard time being able to get the workouts done because the living room is the only space to do it in.  There are 6 other people in the house with different schedules.  I am willing to get up early, or stay up late, but between the people who live here, and visits from friends, I'm having a hard time getting the tv time and living room space to do it.

I have read some of the postings on the message boards, and everyone else seems to be doing so much better at being consistant.  I went there for motivation, and feel even worse now because I feel so much farther behind.  I also can't afford to do the meal plans (I'm happy I get to eat every day - never mind be picky about what it is).  I know my situation will improve eventually, but I have to deal with what I have right now.

I also don't have a camera, and really want to do the pictures because I know they would really help me.  I have to arrange everything I do around other people, and it can be really frustrating.  My sister (whom I live with) has a camera, but I have been trying to do the pictures since before we started....and it hasn't happened yet.

She started the program with me, and I think it would help her to feel better to, but she has already dropped off, which makes it harder to schedule the living room just for me (it's her house).  At least when she was doing it too, it was more likely to happen.  She was liking doing it, and I don't know why she has stopped.

My son was hit by a truck from behind while riding his bike home from a friend's house on September 1st, and we left on the 2nd to go up to Vermont to see him and how he was doing.  I brought the dvd's and pull-up bar with me, but never worked out while we were there.  He fractured his skull, got road rash, and a bad puncture wound on his leg, but is doing well and already back in school.  Now we're back, and I'm sick, but still want to be doing this.

I feel like these are all excuses, and I should be doing more.  I am very limited on time because I should be going to boot camp before too long and need to be ready for it.  I manage to make myself get through all the workouts when I do get to do them, and I've done so much better than I thought I was going to when I watched them all before I started.  The yoga workout was by far the hardest for me, but I was proud of myself when I made it to the end.  I wish I had a space to do this in, or someone who had space that wanted to work out with me, but not laugh at how fit I'm not YET.  I also wish I could figure out not to be so hard on myself, but I HAVE to find the time and space somehow.  This isn't just a cosmetic change or a "I want to be healthier" thing either....this is my last chance at a career with the military, and my family is depending on me.  If I don't make it in the military, I don't know what I'm going to do.  Jobs just aren't out there and my kids need me still.  I don't have the option of failure, or I'll get to it eventually.  I've spend the last 2 years either homeless or staying with friends off and on working when I can get work.  It seems like everyone else here is so much more stable.....is there anyone else out there having these kind of problems, or is it just me???
