I am on recovery week for Insanity. Recovery week? Really? Ha!! The title proves what the workouts really are...INSANE! I am getting the best results with the Insanity workout. I have lost a big portion of my muffin top and the baby stomach that I thought I would never lose, well that is going down too.
When I first started this program I thought that I would not survive. I could barely finish any of the exercises. Walking after the first week of the program? No, sorry, that was not an option. But, after the fourth week of doing Insanity, I was so happy with my results. Not only could I do the program, I could actually walk. I saw that I was getting stronger, my legs were getting more shapely, my rear end was no longer dragging on the floor and my stomach went down. What an accomplishment for me.
I am looking forward to doing the Max month. I never in a million years would have thought I would actually like doing consistent cardio, especially one that tests you. I love this program. I do not follow the eating plan that comes with Insanity. I eat what my body craves. On this workout, I find that I am craving a lot of carbs, and admittingly I do cave in. I think just as long as I am smart about it and not overdoing it, I will be all right, I think.
This month I will be turning 40, and I am happy to say that I am reaching my goal of being in the best physical shape of my life.
Here are my fit test results so far with Insanity:
Day 1/Week 3
1. Switch Kicks (2 kicks/1 rep) - 34 / 60
2. Power Jacks - 40 / 55
3. Power Knees - 65 / 80
4. Power Jumps - 20 / 30
5. Globe Jumps - 8 / 13
6. Suicide Jumps - 17 / 21
7. Push Up Jacks - 16 / 25
8. Low Plank Oblique - 26 / 40
A significant improvement in just two weeks. My next fit test will be on Sunday. I can't wait to see what my results are going to be.
