Week 4

I have tons of energy this week and have started to really increase how much cardio Im doing.  I really want to burn off the fat.  This week I also got a lymphatic drainage massage, the therapist recommended I add a few minutes of rebounding into my daily activities to help increase drainage of lactic acid and a massage once every other week would help too, she thought I had a lot of water sitting around my muscles.  I will try it.  I plan to measure myself on Sunday to check my progress and Im really looking forward to i this week.

week 3 P90x

I am sore! Really sore, i have pushed myself this week and I can really feel it right now.  Today is my rest day and I still got up and did 40 mins of cardio.  Im addicted!  Yesterday I took a spin class as a supplement for my kempo and today I used the elliptical machine.  I used very light restitance for both in an attempt to flush the lactic acid from my body I will take it easy today and if Im sore I will take tomorrow off and get back into things Saturday, we shall see.  

I haven't noticed a ton of weight loss yet.  I have lost about 4 lbs over the past 2.5 weeks but I can see a difference in my body and I can certainly feel it.  I've been told that the shock of starting a new program like this causes a few things to happen before you see it on the scale. You retain more water initially and in addition to adding weight with all those new muscles, those same muscles have been torn and are swollen as they repair themselves.  I hope to see myself down at lead 7 lbs by the end of the month. I am confident this is a realistic goal. Wish me luck!  :)

 

 

 

Week 2

After starting P90x just before thanksgiving, getting into my workouts then bagging them for the feasting over the holidays I have decided to start with day 1 again.  This time with my fiance.  We started last week and this week we are both performing each movement better.  I can also see that the workouts I did before and during the holidays gave me a great advantage over him.  Although I didn't lose a bunch of weight (cause I was eating and drinking for a month like a pig) I am definitely in better shape than I was before.  I can't wait to see what the program does for me while watching my diet. Also I love tracking my workouts online.  I missed a few workouts over the week but picked up a few spin classes and a run and in the end on day 10 I have done 10 workouts, tracking them online helps me to see that and not be too hard on myself. Tune in next week.
