new year, new program!

well, it's been a year since i started using beachbody programs/products.  in 2009, i completed two rounds of chalean extreme and a round of p90x.  i also added in some hip, hop abs and turbo jam for fun :)  i feel so much stronger and healthier. for 2010, i wanted to start off trying another one of beachbody's programs.  i am on my second week of Insanity.  i knew that it was going to be very intense.  it definitely lives up to its name.  after week one, i would say that i have pushed myself farther with this program than any other cardio workouts i have ever done.  i've had to open the window in the room where i work out every day even though it's been 20-30 degrees this past week!  the program is manageable but definitely challenging!  it is six days a week for about 40 minutes a day.  i am hoping to firm up a few areas that could still use some improvement.  if nothing else, i'm getting a great cardiovascular workout and pushing past my limits physically.  you definitely have to DIG DEEPER.   i'm thankful to be healthy enough to work out this hard.  i'm looking forward to reaping the benefits for years to come.
