Day 15 - sorta...

Hi all...I got a really bad sinus infection last week so I had to take a couple of days off to recuperate. However, I got right back in there and now I'm actually in synch with my Insanity workout calendar. :)

My husband and I did our 15 day fit test and here's how I stack up...

 

Switch Kicks:

Day 1: 73 Day 15: 102

Power Jacks:

Day 1: 32 Day 15: 41

Power Knees:

Day 1: 46 Day 15: 76

Power Jumps:

Day 1: 10 Day Day 15: 20

Globe Jumps:

Day 1: 7 Day 15: 9

Suicide Jumps

Day 1: 3 Day 15: 5

Push-Up Jacks:

Day 1: 7 Day 15: 12

Low Plank Oblique:

Day 1: 30 Day 15: 50

I've made improvement!

 

Week 2 - about to do day 15 fit test...

Well, I don't care how I do on the fit test; all I know is that I feel great. My husband and I have been doing Insanity 6 days a week since 11/10/09. We each had to skip an extra day due to work/travel issues but overall, we're at it daily. Also, we're both using Shakeology daily, if not every other day and I've never felt so energized!

We were looking at videos of my daughter's 1st birthday (Nov, 2007) and I cannot believe how big I was then. I was around 190 - 195lbs and I just looked like I could hardly move. Since then I went on Nutrisystem a couple of times and I did manage to get my weight down to 170 or so. However, I still felt tired all the time.

Right now, I'm still in the low 170's but I have so much energy. About 2 years ago ,I just thought, "Okay, this is it. I'm going to be tired and slow for the rest of my life". I'm so glad I was wrong. I'll update with more pics when I have time. It's been a busy couple of weeks. I haven't lost much weight but I've lost inches from my waist, and legs and I have DEFINITION in my legs. So much for having grandma's legs. :)

Okay, and I do care how I do on my fit test. I'll report back.

End of week 1 (6 worksouts) of Insanity...

Well, my husband and I finished our first week and I have to say we feel and look great. The the casual observer, there may not be any noticeable change btu I can tell. The biggest difference other than already seeing progress in my cardiovascular capacity (needing to take fewer and fewer breaks), I'm also firmer. I tend to sleep on my side and when I get in bed my tummy no longer starts heading south. :)

What's most surprising is that I'm not really that sore. I attribute this primarily to Shaun T's FABULOUS stretching in all of the DVD's. I lost a lot of flexibility in my hips and hamstrings when I was pregnant and I'm already starting to see my flexibility return as well.

I'll report back with my stats for our 2nd fit test after day 15.
