Wow, my first blog! You know, if you had talked to me six months ago and said, "Matt, you are going to be in the best shape of your life, ripped to shreds, and helping other people travel the path that you've just come down." I would have said you're crazy. I really can't believe I've come as far as I have with my fitness, and I am so glad that its become not just something I do for a season. Its a lifestyle change.
I was thinking the other day, "Why doesn't everyone do this?" If they did this they would feel great, their confidence would be through the roof, and they would be adding years to their life. If you asked anyone if they wanted to be fit or fat, I seriously doubt the answer would be anything other than the obvious one of fit; however, despite all of the benefits, most of us continue in our sedentary lifestyles.
So what's the difference? Why do some of us get there and some of us don't? I believe the answer is simple, and it has nothing to do with physical limitations most of the time. Its purely mental motivation.
The right mindset is all you need to get anything you want really. Now, that doesn't make it easy. It simply means that you are mentally locked on target to your end destination and nothing is going to deter you from getting there. In reality, some people just don't want it bad enough.
Once you make up your mind, commit to your goal, it is only a matter of time before you succeed.
