week 5

A good way to measure how fast time goes by is to keep track of anything.  It's hard to believe I am in my 5th week of p90x2.  Seems like just yesterday I was looking at my before pics and wondering how I let myself re-visit such a place.

Anyhow, i'm on week 5 and probably going to do 6 weeks of Phase 1 before moving on.  Phase 1 has my mid-section feeling  solid, I guess that's why phase 1 is called foundation.

Physically and Mentally I feel absolutely great. I have forgotten how enpowering committing to something, and following through with it, can make you feel.  I have not lost any weight which is usual for me.  I seem to take different shape but stay realitively the same.  I'm hoping to finish with added muscle weight but we'll see.

Really looking forward to Phase 2, gonna bring it!

Keep pushing Play,

fosh

P90X2

Hey,

Started P90X2 on jan 2, 2012 and figured I blog about some little thoughts along my road to recovery.

There is nothing more sobering than taking those before photos.  I new that my string of injuries and poor choices were taking a toll on my body but I didn't really see how much, untill I took the photos.

I just started my third week and I can definately notice that my core is reaping the benefits of the new workouts, which in the first phase are really core based.  I think i'll do the first phase for 4 weeks because I feel I'm getting more of a workout everytime I do it. Pushing harder now that I am learning the moves.

MX v.s. Bones

I decided to post a blog on my new journey and I came across my last blog in Aug 09.  Wow, how time flies.

I did put myself back together after that string of racing injuries only to go on to break my leg in Aug 2010 and this year with two broken bones in my left foot, you guessed it, in Aug of 2011.  Exactly one year to the day at the same track. Right before that injury I tore a ligament in right ankle and then broke a tendon in finger!!

Needless to say I have battled with the depression of back to back to back injuries and it sure took a toll on my fitness.

So, here I go again.  Started P90X2 on Jan 2, 2012.  Need to get in shape for the racing season ahead...............wish me luck!!
