Morning Workout Challenge

Research shows that if you workout in the morning, you'll be more likely to stick with it.  Let me help you get started.

I know for me, I needed to rearrange my workout time to 5 a.m. because I was starting a new job and would be working outside the home.  If knew if I didn't push myself to do that, I would not have continued with my program.

During the first week, it was important to plan ahead.  That definitely was the key to my success.  Yes it was hard to see the alarm go off at 4:45 a.m. but I eventually got used to it.  It wasn't too hard to spring out of bed cause I knew the alternative of not working out in the morning meant I wasn't gonna have the time to workout later on in the day either.

Another key to my success was posting my intentions on Twitterand Facebook; it helped me keep myself accountable and to others who were working out at that time with me!

I will be returning back to my 5 a.m. workout time once my kids go back to school.  I have been taking advantage of waking at 5:45 to workout but I'm looking forward to a change.

If you're looking to start a new habit, try starting out with 15 minutes in the morning.  Starting out slow will help you get acclimated and once you build momentum and get into the groove, it will become second nature, just like brushing your teeth.  That's never negotiable and we just do it.

If your looking for a workout buddy or help keeping yourself accountable, let me know!

Update - Week 1 Month 2 almost complete

I can't believe how strong I've become. Not just physically but mentally.  I am really starting to feel good about what I can achieve because I've put my mind to it.  This INSANITY program has really helped me gain confidence to get through my busiest days.  I know I must be patient.  I can't expect to transform in a month but just the little changes I'm noticing are keeping me on track.

I am excited to see my results over the next 4 weeks.  There are days when I think that if I didn't have INSANITY to follow, I feel like I would have nothing to look forward to.  Life gets so hectic and busy with two children so I'm glad I'm doing something positive for myself.  Thank you Shaun T!  You're a great motivator.

If you'd like to join me in WOWY, I am there daily at 8:00 a.m.

INSANITY Month 1 down, going into recovery week!

Feeling strong and motivated to complete INSANITY.  My projected completion date is December 27, 2009.  I am determined to get through each and every workout.  I feel much stronger and can hang in there longer.  So glad I decided to commit to the program.  I have now figured out that I must structure my meals exactly like its planned out in the nutrition guide.  I have also started to use the Slimming Formula.  After only one day of the supplements and changing up my meal plans, I've broken through my plateau and lost 2.5 lbs.!  Perseverance pays off!

Cardio Circuit

I threw in an INSANITY weight workout yesterday and did Cardio Circuit today.  I am really feeling my muscles ache.  I am very committed to working out and seeing results.  Its not so much the physical change, which by the way I'm not seeing much but its the mental changes. I am able to hang in longer and feel I am pushing myself harder than I've ever done before.

I will not give up.  I am going to finish INSANITY because it is a goal I've set and I need to prove my 11 year old son wrong that I can reach a goal I've set.  How's that for motivation!

Week 3 of INSANITY

I started INSANITY on October 26, 2009.  With my husband's encouragement, I am able to get through these workouts and feel so amazing.  For me it was now or never.  I want to complete the entire 60 days and see how far this program will take me.  Although I have only lost 2 pounds, I am not going to get discouraged.  I am starting to see a huge difference in my waist.  My abs have always been a problem for me.

I am trying to work on my upper body strength.  I can only do a few man style push ups.  I am hoping this will change as I continue to check off completed workouts.
