It's been on-and-off threatening rain all day, which has made the house rather stuffy and humid. What's worse is that now that it's finally cooling off, I have to keep the back door closed since the hubby is working on our deck, and an air compressor combined with a pneumatic nail gun isn't exactly a mix for a relaxing summer evening soundtrack.
Despite the humidity I kicked some FatBlaster BOOTY this afternoon. It felt so good! I've also been pretty good about eating today, so yay for me!
In other news.... I have tendinitis in my rotator cuff. Went to see my cousin the PT this afternoon. She wants to do a conservative PT program to prevent any further damage and to strengthen the joint. I'm also not allowed to do any military presses or lateral raises at all, or at least use really light weights and STOP if it hurts at all. She told me that the muscle that is primarily used in military presses (forget which one she said it was) is very small and the tendon is easily strained by too much weight. So it's possible that the 10lbs I was doing with CLX earlier this year may have gotten the ball rolling for some major damage, and as soon as I came out of my "practicum has taken over my life" bubble and started doing TJ again, it flared up bad. I noticed the pain was extremely severe after I did TurboSculpt for the first time, even though I only used 5lbs. She also said to be careful even on the bicep curls, as the bicep tendon can also be strained/damaged in the same way. Yeesh!
So for now, it looks like I'll be doing primarily cardio and no strength training that requires me to lift with my shoulders.
