Day 23

Plyometrics is so hard.  I dread doing this every week!!  I am so looking forward to a new change of pace next week.

Results...in asking "Professor Google" I have come up with a milieu of answers to the question, "How long until I see results?"  Not to say I am ready to give up...only wondering when.  I feel like James and I have done a good job...although exercise waned last week, we have done pretty well with eating right.

At the end of the day, I am just wanting to look great/good for Nicaragua.

Day Seventeen...Minus 4=Day 13

Weird title...well it's been a weird weekend.  For all intents and purposes we kind of fell off the wagon this weekend.  Between James' knee, my cold, and valentines' day...we could more closely describe it as hurling ourselves from the wagon.

But today, with a renewed sense of self we are back on...kind of.  Typically, we like to work out in the morning, but today it was impossible to get out of bed with remnants of my cold still lingering about.  Tonight we will jump back in and do arms and back...

This week was supposed to be the end of the three weeks, but I think we are going to roll into next week as if it were week three...knowing what a horrible stint this weekend was.

Day Eight

21 days to develop a habit?  Well, with little goals in mind (to get to the big goal) we are 8 days in with 13 to go on that one.  I still cant thoroughly believe it.  James and I are waking up every morning, committing to eating right and feeling great. Not much to say...other than, we still need a food scale, body scale, and measuring tape...

Day three

Beach = Beach clothes...In the past it has meant angling my body into strange contortions to hide excess fat; wearing long and lovely wraps in 110 degree weather; embarrasment; fear...a slew of insecurities coming out at once. 

I know I am only 3 days into this program...but I know I can do it!!  I know I can...This summer in Nicaragua, I may not be rocking a 6 pack yet...but I will feel fit and not embarrassed of my size...

I am so proud of James and I...we are totally committing to this thing...Couple of things:  I did have a jolly rancher yesterday (I had bad breath and a meeting); we need a measuring tape to get an accurate count of our inches; and we need a scale for our food.  We are a little nervous that we are getting too much or too little food. 

Nicaragua...Here we come!!

Day One

First thought out of the shoot this morning, "Maybe we should do evening workouts..."  Second thought, " Get UP!!" 

What's funny is that last night James and I did the "Fit Test" which resulted in the two of us being sore this morning...Sneaky, Tony Horton...Sneaky!!  I think this is his way to sneak in a pre-workout before we hit the real deal. 

We woke up this morning, a little frazzled, even with our prep work last night...but once we were in it...the hard part was over.  I think the hardest part is waking up...I imagine that tomorrow will be even harder. 

James, made breakfast this morning--The mushroom omelet (we substituted mushrooms for asparugus), cottage cheese and strawberries...Amazing!!  I never eat in the morning, so it was like vacation to be served a hot, delicious, breakfast on a Monday morning no less ( :  I had lunch and snacks packed and ready to go last night...what a great morning.

Big motivator for me?  Couple of things...1) my before pics...UGH!!  I don't even recognize myself...2) The other night James said something kind of interesting, he said, "I feel like getting in all of those bad foods I love...It's like I'm afraid I'll never have them again..."  Like an epiphany or something (I know cliche...but whatever) I said (almost to myself), "I'm afraid of looking and feeling like this for the next 10 years..."
