Fit Test #2 - IMPROVEMENT!!

Today, I completed my 2nd Fit Test and I'm pretty pleased with my results.

The INSANITY program really does work by improving your CARDIO and STAMINA. I have not actually seen a drop in weight yet. However, I KNOW that I body is changing. I am looking slimmer and my clothes fitting better. I feel great and I'm definitely not sucking wind quite as bad after my workouts.

Below are my results after only 2 weeks of the program.

Tomorrow, I am back to the Plyometric Cardio Circuit... not one of my favorites, but not so bad anymore. I CAN DO IT!

More to come...

INSANITY - Week 2... progress!

We are half-way through Week 2 of INSANITY and it's getting better! My cardio is definitely better and my stamina, as well. It is still a butt-kicker, though.

Found out in in December that I have iron deficiency anemia! Me... Anemic! It was a shock to me. I was in denial for about a month, but I finally got my prescription for Iron and Vitamin C filled last week and started on the meds... the results? I feel like an entirel new woman!

I am no longer chronically tired. I can make it through a workout without huffing and puffing. I can teach and workout without passing out! Woo Hoo! I had no idea the fatigue I was experiencing was mostly due to being anemic. Now, my workouts so mo much fomr FUN!

Today, was the Cardio Recovery day for INSANITY, which is just fabulous. Stretching mostly and an opportunity to relax.

More to come!!!

INSANITY Day 2 - Complete!

Plyometric and Cardio Circuit was tough. Not quite as terrible as the Fit Test, but definitely a challenge for me. I taught a resistence training class and then a Turbokick class earlier today, so I waited until the evening to complete the Day 2 workout. Not sure how well that strategy worked, but I got it in!

I did take a few extra breaks, though... I couldn't keep up the pace the entire time through. However, I'm proud that I finished. I did end up using ALL of my available water and ended up with 'cotton mouth' before the end. Note to self: Fill up water bottle before the Day 3 workout!

Tomorrow's workout is Cardio Power and Resistence... that sounds scary.

Is it too early to wonder why I'm doing this? LOL!

More to follow... time to hit the shower and the my fuzzy jammies. :)

INSANITY Day 1 - The Fit Test

Okay... that was really tough. I finished my first INSANITY Fit Test about 40 min ago and I am just to the point where I can start moving again. I haven't been this tired since bleachers and wind sprints in high school track camp!

I can see that INSANITY is going to be a challenge! Here are my first Fit Test Results. I expect to see improvement as the program progresses:

Switch Kicks: 66
Power Jacks: 45
Power Knees: 90
Power Jumps: 27
Globe Jumps: 7
Suicide Jumps: 10
Push-Up Jacks: 20
Low Plank Oblique: 51

I just ordered the Results and Recovery drink, because I gotta tell you... I needed something more that water after that workout. When I pulled my butt off the couch I went a cut an orange and had that... just like the kids eat at half-time during peewee soccer!

One down... 59 to go! Tomorrow - Plyometric and Cardio Curcuit at 3pm EST!

Getting Ready for INSANITY in 2010!

Getting ready to start INSANITY on Jan 4th and I'm super excited and little nervous! I have a great group of ladies joining me, so it will be both challenging and fun.

Taking measurements and getting my meal plan together tomorrow.

More to come!
