I had planned to start round 2 of P90X in September. Today is March 10, and I am on week five. Oh well. I had gained a few pounds back during my lay off. I started round 1 at 207. I got down to 172. At the start of round 2 I was 180. Today, I am 174. So, I am nearly back to where I left off. It has taken me just over a month.
I knew that I had put some weight back on. What I hadn't counted on is how much ground I had lost in strength and endurance. Wow! I am still not quite back to where I was. I had determined that extended layoffs are way too much trouble. I may roll into a lighter workout for a few weeks when I finish this round of P90X. But, I am not going to just veg.
My goal for round 2 was going to be single digit body fat. that is going to be tough to pull off. However, I do think I can be in the 12% range when I finish this round. That will be just in time for summer. That would also put me as being as lean as I have been since high school. I can live with that for now.
I do want to see single digit body fat sometime this summer. I turn 47 in September. I don't think there many lean, strong 47-year-olds walking around. I plan on being one of them.
