Valentines Day Anniversary of my first workout program Power 90!

Valentines day is always a special reminder. It's when I decided to start my weight loss journey with Beachbody in 2003. My husband was in the Navy and deployed out to sea and I did my first Power 90® work out and was able to lose 36 pounds with Power 90. Later I went onto do P90X® and lose 20 more pounds and then enter and win $10,000 from the transformation contest Beachbody was running in 2007. Currently I'm doing P90X2 If you haven't ever seen my Transformation video or just want to check it out here it is at the link below. Maybe it will motivate you to make some healthier positive changes in your life! Have questions or need help? feel free to message me!

P90X week 4 Recovery week review

Week 4 Recovery week, better known as core focus week.

Week 4 started out great for me. Monday I got my yoga in felt great. Balance poses still are my nemisis.  Not my favorite workout but my body totally needed it.

Tuesday CoreSyn- Went well for the most part. I really struggle with the Chatarunga Runs. I did attempt it unsuccessfully and ended up doing plank run instead. One day I hope to be able to be successful at these.

Wed-I did Kenpo and thats where my week went down hill. I went to Home Depot to buy 1 gallon of paint for my office. I did self check and grabbed the paint off the scanner and a side angle and the paint pulled my left arm down. I must have pulled a muscle or pinched a nerve or something.  A few hours after I did this I could barely lift my left arm and was in tons of pain. Took some motrin and heat pad and took the rest of the week to do light stretching and rest my arm shoulder. So I missed 3 workouts this week. (yoga, core syn and stretch)  Hope that I'll be able to be back on track for Monday and The start of Phase 2. :/ slightly frustrated at this point!

Nutrition- Still trying to keep at about 1700-1800 calories One Shakeology a day as my morning meal or snack.

30 day numbers

Weight Down -2.3 pounds

Hips Down 1 1/4 inch

Waist up 3/4 inch  (not sure if maybe I didn't measure right the first time or it's something else)

Chest up +1/4 inch (all those push ups)

Thighs L&R - 1/4 inch off each!

Bicep flexed R&L +1 inch

P90X week 3

Week three went very well. No muscle soreness which was a plus!!! I got in all of my workouts including the Ab Ripper X(all 3) ;D It was my first full week of using the Pull up assist and I love it!!!!! I would give it a thumbs up!!! My numbers were down a few on the pull ups but I know I was doing more of the work with the new assist as opposed to the chair.

Chest and back workout I was able to increase all my push ups except Decline and Diamond push ups this week. I stayed the same on both of those. Also increased weights in Heavy Pants and lawn mowers.

Shoulders & Arms- I held steady with all my weights and reps from last week.

Yoga- I felt more flexability and ARX- I was able to complete all 25 of each and the 40 mason twists.

Nutrition wise I'm not following the nutrition guide day by day but am using it as a guide to keep myself on track for what foods I need to eat and of course for great mealplanning. I using it and a combination of the meal planner.

Over all week 3 was a great week!

P90X week 2 review

Finished 14 days of P90X! I'm not feeling the initial muscle sorness I had the first week and a half. My workouts went smoothly last week. I even got in all 3 Ab rippers!!!! I did skip one workout. Yoga. I planned to do it yesterday. I should have done it first thing so I would have a dozen reasons not to do it.  Yoga is not my favorite workout so it was easy to make excuses........

This weeks Focus is to not skip any workouts!  Drink more water and get at least 7 hours of sleep.

Nutrition wise I'm eating good. Drinking my one Shakeology a day. I have noticed after reviewing my week I'm low on eating veggis. I bought a veggi tray to work on adding in extra vegitables this week. It seems I get them in with my dinner meal and that about it. So more veggis!

I also got a New Toy!!!! It's an assist for Pull ups that hooks to the bar! You can find this in the Shop Tab under Asylum accessories. I'm going to give it a try this week and see if it really works better for me the the Chair assist! I'll review it next week! Stay Tuned!

P90X week 1 review

Completed first week of P90X.  Pictures and measurements were a huge reality check.  I know what I need to do and am ready to make the changes I need to get the results.  Workouts went well. Got a good idea of where I am on the weight exercies so I can adjust to lifting more or less on a few  moves.  I will be working to build muscle so 8-10 reps is what my goal is.  ARX- Wow I remember a few years back when I did 4 rounds back to back I could do ARX with my eyes closed. I struggled to make it through the whole work out. UGH!!!!  I Sufferd from AB-nesia last week as well. Failure to work the abs. I did ARX 1 time so goal this week is to get all three in.  I'm still feeling soreness from Legs & Back but know the soreness will subside. ;D  I Have to flip some of my workouts do to work schedule so I do Yoga on Sunday. Flexability is somewhere I really need to work on. I Struggled on many of the moves. Great room for improvement in all areas!

Food- I did pretty good this past week. Cleaning up my eating and adding more protein helped alot. I was able to lose 4 lbs this past week!!!!!  10 lbs to go to goal! Looking forward to a productive week!
