Day 8(restart)

Alright, well I'm back at it, finally!! 

I spent 5 weeks not working out after I sprained my ankle because I also ended up moving 2 months early to Ottawa.  So between those 2 things and wanting to get settled in somewhat and have my head stop spinning, I took off some extra time from the workouts.  However I am back at it as of last week and today is my day 8, week 2. 

I am happy to back at it, just sucks to have to start over my first round when I should be starting my 2nd round, but things happen.  One thing I noticed though during my first workout last week was that I'm still fitter then when the very first time I started Insanity.  I'm sure it also has to do with being lighter as well, but its a nice bonus.

One thing that I noticed the first time I did Insanity was that it wasn't until then end of the 4th week that I actually started losing pounds on the scale.  Before that it was like I gained weight, I don't know why but I have seen others complain about it as well on the boards.  So far this time it seems to be the same.  Its not alot of weight, just 5 pounds, but it is odd.  So maybe I'm retaining water or something from the extra intact during and after my workouts.  We'll see how it goes this week as I'm making more of an effort to keep dairy out of my diet, at least dairy with lactose because my reaction to it seems to be getting worse.

My one challenge is going to be lunch/dinner at work because we get free meals and since we don't get paid for breaks (well i guess basically we're paying for the meals :P) I do it.  Mostly it is pretty good, its just portion size I have to watch cause its like they think we're starving all the time with how much they give us.  lol  And at least at dinner I can pick the healthier options off the menu we have, its just lunch and getting them to give me smaller portions of the starch that day.

Day 35

So tomorrow I'm supposed to be going into month 2 but I did something to my ankle and I've been trying to do my recovery week but after Friday I realized I have to give it time to heal.  Its swollen and I'm having pain, which is worse while and after working out and even after just being at work and standing on it for the day.  It pisses me off because now its going interferring in my workouts.  Right now I'm sitting here itching to workout and my ankle is aching so I know I can't...I hate this.  I'm not patient when it comes to being sick or laid up in any way and its just makes it worse because I've been doing so well with keeping up with the program and eating healthier and now my progress is being held up by my ankle and I don't even know how I hurt it. 

Anyway so now I'm just waiting out my ankle and I hope it heals quickly so I can get going again with my workouts.

Day 23

I'm pretty amazed at myself that I've made it this far but proud at the same time.  This has been a tough week cause my asthma has been acting up more then average.  Not sure if its a bit of a cold or allergies but its interfering with the workouts a bit.  But I get through and cough alot after.  lol  I have my fingers crossed that at my next weigh and measure day I see good progress. 

I'm moving in the next few weeks so I'm trying not to let that get in the way of my workouts.  Its a lot of stress cause its the end of a relationship of 8.5 years as well but I'm finding the workouts help.  Instead of letting the stress overwhelm me I'm working it out with exercise for the most part.  One thing is the move is not bad timing in a way cause I'll have just finished my first rotation of Insanity when its time to move.  So at least I won't be moving while still doing my workouts.

Well for now I'll just keep pushing play!

So far so good, I am getting in workouts but I do need to do better with food.  It would be nice if I had more support but its hard when the person you live with doesn't have to lose any weight and can eat whatever. 

Plus I have been trying to get a workout buddy but everytime I try to arrange something, no one is available, is working or backs out on me.  Makes me mad and it sucks not to have someone to do this with. 

So I am trying my best to get in workouts and doing better everday with food, cause I did start out eating just garbage most of the time and now I am adding in veggies everyday and drinking at least 2L of water a day.  So small steps and I'll back to where I want to be.  I'll just keep looking at my motivation picture of what I was and where I want to be.
