Bonus Chalean Workouts....

I bought the first few bonus dvd's for CE a while back.  I really really loved them!  When I heard she was coming out with yet another 4 bonus workouts, I was really excited!  I finally bought them just a couple of weeks ago and they came Tues.!  

Yesterday, I decided to try out the Lower Body Extreme Zone!  It's 40 min. of intense lower body work and YES, I am feeling it today!  I'm so happy with this workout.  I don't know about you , but in the dead of winter, after all the holidays, I could use a lower body boot camp!  A few of the exercises are comparable to some of the moves in Brazil Butt Lift, but for the most part, it's different.  You do use your weights.  Since I'm nearly 20 weeks pregnant, and haven't been doing weights for a while, I stayed on the safe side and used 10 lbs. in each hand.  I think if I wasn't pregnant, I'd definitely start with 15lbs., and probably 20 lbs. for some.

Anyway, just wanted to say, it's another great workout from Chalene and the gang!  I'll post my reviews when I get a chance to use the others too.

New Year, New Goals!

It's a new year!  Actually, yes, it's already 12 days into it, but I'm still getting things in order.  With 2 young children and another one on the way, my strategy for success with every aspect of my life is just working one day, one moment at a time. 

So, the biggest goal for Jan. is to establish a good routine that works for us, of which a big part is healthy eating and exercise!  I'm officially 4 months pregnant today...or 18.5 weeks... or however you wanna calculate it! 

For now, I'm still working out with Turbo Fire.  Did I mention that I LOVE Turbo Fire?!?  In fact, I just plain love Chalene Johnson.  Her workouts are some of the best investments I've ever made!  Not only can you use them forever, switch them up and mix them together so that you keep things from plateuing, but she is just so much FUN to work out with!!!  She's motivating without being annoying and I really like that a lot!

Eating healthy has ALWAYS been a challenge for me, especially during the winter time.  Comfort foods just seem to pop up everywhere and at the end of the day, I'd much rather eat a great big piece of fried chicken with mashed potatoes that a nice healthy grilled chicken salad.  Just being real here.  To help with this, I've made a detailed meal plan, by the month.  It really helps to keep things in check and on track.  I know every day exactly what we're going to have for dinner, so not only does that help keep me sane, but hopefully it will help from packing on any unnecesary pounds!
