Competition Training!

I have been back in training for about four weeks now!  I am doing very well on the diet plan, I have not had sugar this whole month!  We are going to Las Vegas in a week for Nascar, and I will have all my meals cooked and packed.  I weigh and measure everything and put it in baggies, it's super easy to just grab it!

I am starting out in a little different shape than last year.  My weight has been higher, and hasn't budged much this month, but I feel that I have more muscle and that I don't have too much weight to lose.  The competition isn't until June 9th, so I'm about 15 weeks out.  I have plenty of time so I'm not too worried.

We have a diet plan where we eat the same six meals every single day!  It sounds monotonus (?), but it makes it super easy and I'm really not tired of it.

I will try to blog a lot more often about my journey-- I regret not doing that last time.  I also have my food journal at www.myfitnesspal.com/sierraelegance.  I don't do it perfectly every day, but I'm darn close!

Day 1 of the Challenge! Who's with me?

The very easiest way I've found to keep your calories in check is to have five 300 calorie meals a day, balanced in protein, carbs and fat. I use the www.fitday.com program, it has a pie chart. I just try to keep the pie even throughout the day, so each of those components is in the 30% range. Also, check the nutrition part of the log, so you can see how much sodium you're consuming--- it may be a lot higher than you would estimate. Keep it around 1500 mg.

Log your water too so you can track how many ounces you are drinking each day-- enter it just like any food.
