Excited for Fall

Hello friends,

I have been MIA for awhile.  Sometimes life can be overwhelming and that is just how it is.  I have been exercising and became certified to teach Turbo.  I love Chalene's programs.  In fact I just ordered Turbo Fire and can't wait to get started.  I am going to participate in a 90 day Turbo Fire and Shakeology challenge starting September 13.  If you are interested in the details feel free to message me and I will fill you in on the details.

School starts soon for the kids and I am looking forward to some peace and quiet.  Time to keep up with my to-do list and meet some more of my goals.

Loving Life, Suzanne

Nose Job

I am not sure why anyone would want to do plastic surgery.  I really isn't that much fun.  I had a procedure yesterday to remove some sun damage, a basal cell carcinoma, or skin cancer, from my nose.  Most of the other people in the waiting room had nose jobs also.  Too much sun without protection and anyone can get this.  I am also a redhead nad have very pale skin.  Two strikes against me.  I also was sunburned more than once in childhood.  I don't even remember having sunscreen then.

The good part is that there is a newish surgery technique called Mohs surgery.  They take the smallest amount of tumor they can but they make sure they get the whole thing.  They freeze dry the tissue, slice it into many thin slices and examine it to see if they missed anything.  If they missed some of the tumor, they know exactely where to go and take the rest.  Luckily for me it was only one cut.

The last part is restoring the skin on the face.  This is basically plastic surgery.  I like to think of it as my mini facelift!  This is where I wonder about people who choose to do it.  It isn't really much fun.  Maybe when I am able to take my bandages off I will see why.  I have tons of tiny stitches from my eye to the bottom of my nose.  A large incision to make my face look good again.  Scary I think.  And, not pain free.

The worst part is that I cannot exercise for a week.  Nothing that gets my blood pumping to my face.  That is really hard because I know that after a week of no exercise it canbe harder that ever to get going again.  But get going I will.  Back to Chalean extreme and some turbo kick.  I can't wait.  Until then, I will be a coach princess.  Because it is important to do what your doctor says.

Life

Man, everything just seems to get in my way.  Just when I think I got my groove going, something else comes along to knock me off.  Well, I fanally restarted Chalean Extreme.  I dallied with Insanity for one day and decided not to continue.  I really like Chalene's energy and although Shaun is hot, that wasn't enough to keep going.  Calisthenics are not my fave.

There is substantiated rumor that Chalene is comng out with a newer version of Turbo called "Turbo Fire."  This is supposed to be a pumped of version of the regular turbo.  I went to a Pro training for Turbo Kick and got my but kicked.  it was so much more than the turbo we beachbody fans are used to.  I loved it and managed to burn 5,000 calories in one day.  I also got my instructors training certificate, just for fun.  I really just wanted to stay and work out more.  It was contagious.  These people were so turbo jazzed!

I sent a workout notice to everyone on my team.  Come workout tomorrow adn let's have some fun together.

Jury Duty Over

Jury duty is over.  I found it to be quite an interesting process.  I really had to be creative to find ways to be active.  Choices were very limited.  Unfortunately, the guy was guilty.  Mostly guilty of stupidity.  Quite sad really.  Remeber the golden rule, do not take things that are not yours, even if it seems quite innocent at the time.  It could come around and bite you in the bottom.

Jury Duty

Still feeling somewhat sore today.  I got called to Jury Duty and am serving on a trial.  Hopefully a short one.  It is interesting but I felt I had to rearrange my life.  It takes an hour to get there and one to get back.  This has cut out my exercise time for the next few days.  So, I found a large hill and took a walk down and through town and then marched back up that hill again.  Most everyone else sat in their cars and ate.  I at least got some fresh air and relaxed a bit.

I will try to find a walk for tomorrow.  Maybe not the hill though:)
