Much to the chagrin of some of my...less than healthy family members, i've been on quite the mission to NOT gain weight over the holidays as so many people love to do, and of course i'm trying to get as many people as I possibly can to keep it relatively healthy with me!
Halloween has come and gone, and while i've managed to stay away from all the candies and such, of course i'd come home to find my aunt left an entire box of Cinnabons in our fridge. Ugh. I'd like to say its okay because I won't eat them, but when it comes down to it, someone in my family will...which really isn't cool.
Which brings about the question: Why would you willingly and knowingly feed your loved ones things that will blatantly do more harm than good? Cheaper? More convenient? Those aren't acceptable reasons when it comes to people you care about is it?
I imagine its just pure and simple thoughtlessness and willful ignorance. Which again, is not a good reason for anything.
Not judging anyone, but if you're reading this, please do take a moment or two to consider a healthier option for holiday foods instead of the "easiest" option! You wouldn't put muddy gasoline into your car, so why put processed foods into your family?
We're all guilty of this at some time or another, but the more we all try to clean up what goes into our bodies the better results we'll all get! We're all in this together so know that you're not alone if you choose to start being the good influence in your family!
Fightin' the flab,
Justin
