Insanity and ultra running

Well it has been a while but just to update. I have completed many ultra marathons and have placed in top ten on most. I have completed my goal of reaching a fifty mile race. In fact 56 miles to be exact.
You are probably wondering how beachbody programs have helped me achieve such a huge running goal. Well let me tell you.

Before beachbody I would always achieve a certain level of fitness and weight loss then something would happen , schedule changes , kids get sick, husband has extended trips out of town etc.
With beachbody, insanity and p90x, I could still find the time to workout because I was at home. I was then able to be more consistent and surpass my previous fitness levels.

Now I want to lose even more fat and change things up so I just bought p90x2 and asylum. This should take me in to my next training block and based on my most recent results who knows where I can go. I am still working on getting leaner and I am now less focused on a number on the scale but more on my body fat percentage and lean look. I am on my third round of having to buy new dress pants for work, due to the fact that they are too big for me again! A great problem to have. I have now reached a size 2 , hard to believe that I came from a size 10. It was when I had to buy a size 10 that pushed me to beachbody , I had never in my life worn a double digit pant size and will never again!

Until next time keep pushing play!

More Training

Well I have had a successful season thus far. Placing in my age groupe for most races and doing many PR's. Still keeping up the weights with insanity or P90X. I do belive this has been the key.keeping the weights has allowed me to keeep trimming body fat and work my core to improve my running.

Just completed my first trail marathon and all went well.It was very tough but a great experience. My next challenge will be the ultra race in july. The race starts at midnight due to the heat. The late night start will be a challenge its self.

Starting to do interval runs to get faster!

Will keep you all posted on how that goes but yesterdays run I burned more calories than I have in a while maybe more fat coming off.

Ultra Race

Well I had a very successful first ultra marathon race. I ran 31 miles under 5 hours and finished 2nd in my age group and received a top ten womens' finish.looking froward to my next ultra in july.

I will keep you posted. Will continue with P90X and insanity in the meantime.

Gym Rat

Have you ever noticed folks that go to the gym day after day end up looking the same. That was me. I have spent years in the gym and ended up looking average with averge fitness.During the three months of P90X I noticed changes that did not occur during all the years I spent in the gym. Truth be told , I probaby spend less time working out but I am getting greater results. I guess cause what I am doing is more effective.

Something to think about if you are on the fence , wondering if these programs live up to all the hype. They do!

Keeping it real

Feeling real good about my eating and the progress I am making on my fitness. Feeling it in my clothes. Both my husband and I are starting on Shakeology, looking forward to that.

A little scared about the marathon training. Hope my body can handle the miles. Thanks to insanity my heart and lung can handle it.
