Still here, still pushing play.
I did not complete P90X2 due to some pre-existing medical issues, made it to day 82 before all heck broke loose. I don't think the program aggravated any of the issues, I’m going to say it’s my old age and being eligible for retirement this year, at least that’s what my husband(who is not a Dr.) says it is.
I had to get an MRI and some X-rays, but I know the spill, Physical Therapy unless I opt for surgery, blah…. I did get some lovely meds that from now on out will be referred to as “METH”, pain meds are seriously addictive, I only used the 6-day steroid dose and just being pain free for four of those days made me want to request another pack. 19 years of pain and experiencing those 4-days of no-pain were enough to have me testifying.
I didn’t even notice the lack of pain until I left work and stepped up to get into my car, I didn’t feel the pain in my knee that I am so familiar with, then I sat in the driver seat and called the hubby and just gushed for 10 minutes in the parking lot about how amazing and unbelievable it was to not hurt. I cannot believe others get to experience painless living all the time.
I took a break off after taking the meds, for some reason when my dose was over; the pain came back and actually felt worse. I believe the use of the pills made me a punk, they also assisted in added a bit of mass due to them being steroids, but hubby made sure I did something, even though it was not P90X2 relate to keep from getting bulky (now was not that nice of him-insert eye rolling).
Toss in a TDY and a change in workout programs and here I am. I am still on WW, need to get back aggressive with it though, it is a great program, hubby met his 20 lb loss goal, me…not so much, lol, but still pushing.
I am currently on day 11 of PT 24/7 and loving it. I will have to take some pics; it is keeping me on track and hopefully will get me to day-75 P90X2 progress pics and beyond.
