Now I can get back on my fitness grind.  I am so happy and excited about all the possibilities.  I really plan to push myself (as much as the physical therapist will allow) and see what I can do.  I have the lovely AF PT test coming up in July so this is a goal to work towards, I want to make better than that 98.6, need to get back to making a 100 on that thing.  I also plan to do everything in my power to protect this body and not re-injury anything I may need in the future.  It seems I always wind up with some type of medical condition when I attempt any extreme workout plans.

To be honest, I have not been idle; I am on the second rotation of a workout program I am so loving.  I have achieved some truly awesome results and once I reach my wait target I should be able to make a video update.  Over 30 days into it and I have not had any joint injuries or pulled anything.  I have a start because I was measured in the BodPod, the results were an eye-opener and made me realize I need to start going hard with my workout.

I took the BodPod in 08 and at 5’7 and 160 lbs; I was 20 %BF, really lean and heavy.  After working out for 4 months I re-took the BodPod and weighed in at 159 lbs, but my BF measured 17%-Elite athlete level.  This was post P90X, so I was in really great shape.  Now I am back up to 157, less than what I weighed for the previous analysis (8lbs higher than my lowest weight for P90X2) and I have my BF is 24%, blah…, I have really let myself go.  It is really noticeable from behind, Potential Back Fat has developed.

I am so motivated and ready to trim it down for the summer and get seriously fit so I can bash that PT test.  I have almost 2 months to prepare, I will go into the BodPod again to see if my efforts are paying off in the BF arena.  Overall, though, I am content with how I look, so it is saying a lot for me to be motivated to improve even more.

OMG It's been a minute

Still here, still pushing play.

I did not complete P90X2 due to some pre-existing medical issues, made it to day 82 before all heck broke loose.  I don't think the program aggravated any of the issues, I’m going to say it’s my old age and being eligible for retirement this year, at least that’s what my husband(who is not a Dr.) says it is.

I had to get an MRI and some X-rays, but I know the spill, Physical Therapy unless I opt for surgery, blah…. I did get some lovely meds that from now on out will be referred to as “METH”, pain meds are seriously addictive, I only used the 6-day steroid dose and just being pain free for four of those days made me want to request another pack.  19 years of pain and experiencing those 4-days of no-pain were enough to have me testifying.

I didn’t even notice the lack of pain until I left work and stepped up to get into my car, I didn’t feel the pain in my knee that I am so familiar with, then I sat in the driver seat and called the hubby and just gushed for 10 minutes in the parking lot about how amazing and unbelievable it was to not hurt.  I cannot believe others get to experience painless living all the time.

I took a break off after taking the meds, for some reason when my dose was over; the pain came back and actually felt worse. I believe the use of the pills made me a punk, they also assisted in added a bit of mass due to them being steroids, but hubby made sure I did something, even though it was not P90X2 relate to keep from getting bulky (now was not that nice of him-insert eye rolling).

Toss in a TDY and a change in workout programs and here I am.  I am still on WW, need to get back aggressive with it though, it is a great program, hubby met his 20 lb loss goal, me…not so much, lol, but still pushing.

I am currently on day 11 of PT 24/7 and loving it.  I will have to take some pics; it is keeping me on track and hopefully will get me to day-75 P90X2 progress pics and beyond.

Day 45 Progress P90X2

Base Biggest Loser Comp

Hubby has gotten addicted to the WW Recipe site.  When I walked in he was once again prepare dinner.  Wow, so awesome, but I wanted to cook, blah.  The food was so good; he bade oven-fried chicken, yummy.  It is so getting into our week rotation.  He is also addicted to the oven-baked potatoes; I have had to make them 4 times since last week.  We were somewhat high in points yesterday; it is more than likely due to improving on my X2 form and burning more calories during the routines.

I entered my bases biggest loser competition, I had to do a body screen, I wish I had my sheet with me.  I am only Fit, Hopefully by March, which coincidentally coincides with my X2 finish; I will be in excellent physical condition.  I did very well in most of the cats, but my blood pressure, an ongoing issue, was off the chart.  The most amazing thing was when I was weighed, w/ clothing, I was exactly 10lbs less than when I started WW, I am so excited.  If I can drop and addt’l 20, my weight loss percentage will be almost 14%, so this is an addt’l motivator to keep up and stick to my diet and exercise routine.

Almost forgot, more WW Recipe Fish and Chips/ Lemon and Parsley Cod Part 2
