2 Mile Break Thru

Today's Boot Camp Workout was a 2 Mile Run...then 30 Pull-Ups, 60 Sit-Ups, 20 Pull-Ups, 40 Sit-Ups, 10 Pull-Ups and 20 Sit-Ups.

My time for the 2 Mile was 15:57...not a (my) personal record by a long shot; however it is the fastest I've run 2 miles in a long, long, long, time (over 15 yrs).  My goal had been to run under 17 minutes.  This is only the 2nd time I have run (a mile or more) since 13-Apr-11 and the other run was 1 mile (8:06).

So my total time for the workout was 26:39.

8 Weeks In The Books

Friday 16-Sep-11 marked the end of week #8 for the Boot Camp Workouts.  I was selected for these workouts to help raise funds for the upcoming American Heart Association 5K Walk / Run on 01-Oct-11 in West Palm Beach, FL. 

These are very different compared to my Beachbody workouts...not as much cardio, more weights still good, yet different.
