Started Turbo Fire April 10, 2012

So I started Turbo Fire on 4/10/2012 and surprised the mess out of myself.  I couldn't believe I could jump that high.  I knew that when I was making the decision to invest in this program, that it was because I was reaching a plateau and need a more challenging routine so that I would break through it  and reach my fitness goals. But I was flabbergasted (i know, big word for WOW) at what I was capable of.  I had originally set a goal to lose 30 pounds by my birthday in December, but I have a feeling I am gonna make that goal a lot sooner than I thought.  Maybe by early summer 2012?

Re-commitment-sometimes that's all ya gotta do!

It's been a while since I have written on my blog, much to my regret, but I would like to to talk about re-commitment to your exercise program for a minute.  I had a moment there, (a long moment) where I was not working out on a regular basis and not committed to the healthy lifestyle I had committed to in my first year with Beachbody.  It was bad there for a moment - eating all the wrong things not being motivated to excercise drinking even smoking.  And then I got on the dreaded scale and gained back 15 of the 23 pounds I had managed to lose in the first year.  Well if that didn't wake me up nothing would.  Not to mention raised blood pressure, low iron and increased risk of diabetes which already runs in the family.

Over the last few months, I have been really evaluating what are my triggers to eating badly and lacking the motivation to exercise.  I realize that I started to believe that I didn't deserve to be healthy.  Self esteem, or the lack thereof, definetely took the motivation out of doing what was right for myself.  Being in my early forties now it is imperative that exercise and proper diet become a priority just like going to work and paying the bills.  It can no longer take a back seat.  My overall well being both physically and emotionally relies on my re-commitment to my health and fitness.  So I got back on the wagon doing Turbo Jam (soon to be TurboFire) and ChaLean Extreme workout on a regular basis and hope to lose 20 lbs by my b'day in December.  Think I can do it? No....I know I can!

I hope this blog entry helped someone today.  To that someone who is feeling down on him or herself today I hope that you realize that are the only one who can lead you to the body you've always wanted and also lead you to the path of optimal health by using the Beachbody tools including meal plans, blogs and work out videos to get yourself to the healthiest you you can be.  Believe in in yourself and what you can accomplish.  Start today!
