Week 2 Begins

Last week I completed all the workouts for the week.  Sunday was a rest day as we had plans with the family.  Each of the workouts was new and challenging and I am loving it.  I ate clean all week and dropped a few pounds, however, the delayed Christmas gathering on Sunday just about reversed all I accomplished in that area.  Amazing how hard it is to get off and how easy it is to put on. 

I was able to do the 3 speed plyo push ups on the medicine ball today.  Some of the other moves on the medicine ball are still a little intimidating, hopefully I will get strong enough and gutsy enough to get them mastered.  Definitely saw some improvements today, it mainly takes time to figure out how to do the moves. 

Looking forward to getting another week of workouts under my belt!

P90X2

Today was day 1 of P90X2.  X2 Core.  I was expecting something more like Core Synergystics from P90X but it was a much different workout.  Some of the exercises I did well, some not so well.  Some of the moves on the stability ball and medicine ball were a little intimidating and rather that injure myself the first day I chose to modify them.  I love using the foam roller to work the knots and sore spots in my muscles and using the stability ball for stretching.  Great work out and I hope by the end of the first phase I can master the tricky moves.

I took my before photos after the workout.  I will keep those to myself as I really wasn't too proud of them.  I don't look bad, but I don't look the way I want to look-hopefully that will be the case at the end of the program.

Now it is back to the nutrition guide for some inspiration on meals and then off to the grocery store for some good, healthy fuel for my body.
