Our baby girl's Wedding/Reception - July 9

I'm getting caught up slowly but surely so I  guess I'd like to tell ya'll about the wedding and reception that I've been planning for the last 10 months or so.  The planning consumed my last few weeks leading up to it, so I wasn't consistent with my workouts and eating real healthy.  (That changed yesterday!)

My oldest daughter and her 8 year old son flew in earlier in the week and the fun began.  Of course she wanted to tour some of Iowa - so did her sister that lives here....and the bride joined us too.  It was great to have my 3 girls all in the same place at the same time!  Then later in the week, Mom arrived with my cousins from TX.  She flew there from Maui and drove up with them so they could spend time together.  Then she stayed two weeks with me (and my second daughter) here in Iowa.

Anyway, everything went well aside from a few minor issues.  (those moments make things memorable to say the least)  The ceremony was beautiful...really touching and there were tears shed.  Alex chose to have her father and myself walk her down the isle, which was very special.  She looked beautiful and our new son looked so handsome.  The reception was GREAT.  The toasts were wonderful and I got to do my hula called The Hawaiian Wedding Song for them.  I was pretty nervous, but I made it thru and afterwards I missed the first dances, etc. cos so many people came up to me to congratulate and compliment on the hula.  But I got to see pictures of the dance activities and bouquet and garter tosses.  lol

Oh and there was a Photo Booth as the 'favors' that was so so much FUN.  We had a DJ throughout the dinner portion of the reception and then a live band that was just AWESOME!  If anyone left without having fun....well, it was their own fault.  But I don't think that was the case :)

I've been recouping after Mom left last week and slowly catching up to tasks that I put aside for a few weeks.  It's been quiet around here.  Thank God I have stuff to catch up to keep me busy or I'd be pretty sad right about now.  We are officially-empty nesters.  The kids are on a two week honeymoon trip and should be back this week sometime.  Yesterday I got back into my routine and started a 3 day Shakeology Cleanse to jump start things.

I've posted a few pics in my Photo Gallery -

Day 5, 6 & 7/Week 12 Turbo Fire

I think my back is 99% healed!  Yay!  I skipped Day 5's workout which was Stretch 40.  Day 6 I did Tone 30 and Fire 45 EZ.  It sure felt great to do 80 minutes of workouts :D  Sunday is my usual Rest Day so I took that for the last day of the round.  I still need to measure my results.

Day 3 & 4/Week 12 Turbo Fire

Since I worked yesterday, was too tired to wake up and do a workout before work and had evening plans after work, I took the scheduled Rest Day.  But today I did Fire 55 EZ.  Whew!  That one still kicks my butt!  I had to slow down just a little so I wouldn't hurt my back (felt it tweak a little during some of the moves).  Now it's time for some Shakeology and to think about making supper.  Or maybe I'll work on making some greeting cards while I drink my Shake :)

Day 1 & 2/Week 12 Turbo Fire

This is the last week on this round.  It's a Recovery Week and no strength training is scheduled, but I might just stick some in for good measure - seeing as I was off with my sore back for a couple weeks...or was it 3?  Anyway, yesterday was a scheduled Rest Day, but I did Fire 45.  Today I did the scheduled Fire 45 EZ and Stretch 10.  I had a little trouble in some moves on Fire 45 EZ...just out of practice, I think.  lol  My back is still not 100% pain-free.  There are times when it just hurts from sitting too long or when it's time to get out of bed.  Not all the time, but some of the time....enough to be annoying.

Ok, well, I have to work a job assignment tomorrow, so I think I'll call it a nite.  Have a good Hump Day tomorrow :D

Day 6 & 7/Week 11 Turbo Fire

This one is simple.  Day 6 I skipped cos it was a full day of Visitation, Funeral, Burial and Luncheon that started early in the morning and ended mid afternoon.  After taking a few breaths, we headed to the folks to drink away the stress and welcome the relief!  Day 7 is my normal Rest Day so I gladly took it!  Whew!
