Day 15 & 16 P90X chest, back and Plyo

Yesterday was chest and back. I love push ups and am a push up machine. However the opposite is true for pull ups. LOL. 1st week ! could only do 3-4 of each unaided now I can do 5-6 unaided. I shoot for 12 of each and have to use a chair to do them but I really try to use my upper body strength as much as possible. (I wonder if I could get Lats like Bruce Lee?)I had a series of job interviews this morning and am at work until 3:00 AM tonight So i had to skip Plyometrics. I'll do it Sunday instead of taking a break. (those squat jumps kick my ass too!!

Day 13 Legs and Back P90X

The more I think about it the more I've decided I really like this routine. I'm used to the more traditional approachto working out legs in the gym: squats, leg press, etc... Legs feel that they get a good workout during those times but the over all amount or leg exercises is small compared to what I go through in this program. Plus I feel like I worked more parts of my legs doing all these different exercises. Throw in all the pull ups and it is a great workout.

P90X Yoga X day 11

Yoga is a good mixer in the middl eof these workouts I feel. It get everything strecthed out and enhances recovery for me. My only complaint for yoga is that it is too long. However I worked through it and completed the DVD again. Still need to work on my balance LOL

P90X shoulders and arms day 10

Another great workout today!! I did better than the first time around and was able to add a little bit more weight to my workout but by the end I was down to 10 pounders again. However since this was about all I could lift I feel as if I was right on target. Still feel the burn in my back from a couple of days ago which is good. I want to make sure that my back is gettigna good work out too. Diet is going well Today it chicken and broccoli and some tuna snacks!!

P90X chest & back day 8

So today was chest and back day again. Another good workout in the books. I do have some concerns that I'm not working my back out enough since I use a chair when I do pull ups. Quite frankly though at this time I think I'd only be able to do a couple of each type without using the chair. I think my fears were allayed since it is now several hours later and I feel that good soreness in my back. If my back feels sore tomorrow I'll feel as if I've done my job. Also I think next week I will use a a little bit heavier weight on this exercise. Go to 25's or 30's. the diet is still doing good though I did sneak a coke on Sunday while watching football!! Looking towards Plyo tomorrow just have to make sure to not overwork my quads so I can stay on pace when legs and back comes around!!
