So it's been over 2 months since I've set a goal with a deadline to get the "BEST BODY I'VE EVER HAD" with a due date to be April 6th 2012 and I've started training for it non-stop. I teach my 2 Bootcamp classes in the morning 5am and 8:30am and in between the classes, I head out to the gym to lift weights for 1hr. Then I come home and I would pop in a 10min trainer or watch my Turbo Jam or Asylum video to be incorporated into my evening classes that I teach. I must say being diligent in my goal and just "going for it" has made huge difference in myself mentally. I have also cleaned up my eating. I eat very clean throughout the weekday and give myself a cheat day on saturday. Funny thing is that I don't crave for oily food because I know it's going to make me sick. What I actually eat on my so called cheat day is like subway because I don't eat bread throughout the week because it bloats me.
What I've learned is that, I've been in the fitness industry for over 8yrs.......but I've always looked okay but never where I was satisfied with. Like with anything, setting a goal with a deadline bring new found "focus" into the goal that you have. Work at it with all your mind and heart. Fitness is especially such a critical part of our life because after all, without health.....what do you have???????
so last week saturday, I signed up for early registration for the Honolulu Marathon on December 12, 2010. 26 miles........never done that.........I've never even done 10 miles to be honest with you. Probably the longest miles I've ever ran was 6 miles. You know why? Because I love Insanity, Turbo Jam and all the other types of short burst interval training but I am not a endurance athlete YET. Yes, YET. Once a person I very much respect told me to "make your weakness your strength" which she used said push ups were her weakness but now she looooves doing push ups after push ups. That word really stuck with me. I used to be bad with push ups but now that is one of my favorite exercise to sculp my entire body and it's proven to work!!!! So the same rule applies for my marathon training. I love to exercise and eventually would love to try every and all exercises out there. I even want to eventually work myself upto triathlon! So challenge number 1, marathon. I am training little by little and luckily I have many friends that are willing and wanting to kickin' my butt!
So here's my question to all of you guys.......what exercise do you dislike? Why? Because it's hard? Because you "THINK" you cannot do it? Practice, train and improve little by little and make it your strength! Challenge yourself and your body everyday!!!!! Let's do this!!!!
After having the opportunity to take 2 days workshop from Mr Shaun T himself, I have to say that he is the most humble, friendly, warm, and inspiring fitness professional! First of all, he surprised us with Shaun T version of fit test.....we thought wow! what a workout! Then took us into a 1.5hr of Insane workout! Every single one of us got to experience Shaun up and up and him telling us to "Dig Deeper!" We all left a huge puddle of sweat on the carpet! Then Shaun did some seminars and then right after lunch......fit test #2! Thank goodness I had a light lunch....I can't speak for everyone that was at the camp though! Yikes. Then a recovery workout. After the first day, my entire body was beggin me for a whole body massage. I think the only reason I was able to make it to the 2nd day is because of Results and Recovery formula and also starting both days off with my chocolate Shakeology with an entire banana blended. 2nd day workout was very different from the 1st day, warmup was very much to the music which made it easy to follow. 2nd day was Max Cardio Hell! As Shaun would say. At the end of the 2 days workshop, I felt like I got ran over by a bus, but at the same time extremely motivated and inspired! Every one of our FB page was a couple shot with Shaun T!
Now when I do Isanity, I def dig deeper and I am IN IT!!! Thank you Shaun!
Less than a month to go and Shaun T is going to be right in front of me kicking my bunns! He's going to be yelling at me the "Dig Deeper!" I am so excited everytime I think about it, I can't stop smiling. I was talking with my girlfriend who is also a huge Insanity fan that there are not much people that gets excited about getting your butts kicked. But when I'm in this Beachbody community, I know I'm surrounded by everyone that are just like myself! I think it's so awesome! There truly is no easy way to get fit and healthy. Eat the right food for energy and exercise to get your metabolism going and that's the only way to make your body into a fat burning machine! I know that before I do Insanity, or actually every morning, I start my day with Shakeology. 1 cup soymilk, 1/2 a banana, couple of ice cubes, 1 cup Shakeology and throw it into my magic bullet! I immediately have energy and I'm ready to tackle the day! Now that I've been taking Shakeology for about 4months, I feel a huge difference in my energy level and I love it! I can't live without my Shakeology! My husband has dropped his cholestrol level by 40 points in 3months and the Dr didn't even mention putting him on cholestrol meds this time! Dr told him to "keep doing what your doing!" So proud of him! We only have one body so why not take care of it right?
2010 is really going to be a great year for me! Just bought a house and settling in, excited to have my Beachbody home party there and have a little backyard workout! And talk about working out.....so much fitness goals. As soon as my move is done, I've got 2 months to train for the Shaun T Insanity camp in April! I am extremely excited for the camp because I am a huge fan of Insanity! After that, I've got a surf trip to Bali coming up in May and gotta seriously train for the Honolulu Marathon in December! My very first marathon and I get to run it with my sister........can't ask for a better partner than her. I love to challenge my body with new types of training. I will be doing some kickboxing classes, yoga, swimming, strength training and every other workouts that I can get my hands on in between. Working out is my stress reliever and can't live without it! Keeping me healthy and giving me sustainable energy in between is ofcourse SHAKEOLOGY! Gotta looooove my chocolate milkshake every morning!!! What's your fitness goal???
