My name is David Likens, thank you for taking the time to visit my profile page.
I have had a exciting adventure with the P90X workout program. Like most men, I was watching the P90X infomercial and was truly intrigued by what the results where that people where getting; out of just 90 days of dedication to themselves. I was a bit skeptical myself to be honest. There was just something about it that made me think it would work!
I am a father of three great boys, and I knew that when I would be outside playing with them; I could only last 20 minuets or so before I was completely winded and could not keep up with them and enjoy my time with them.
I knew that the life style that I was living and the food that I was eating was literally weighing me down. I felt that I needed a soda at every meal, I would see all the leftovers on the dinner table and I felt I needed to eat all the fantastic food my wife would make; otherwise it would just go to waist. So I would eat and eat till I was bloated and had an upset stomach.
Once I finally accepted the fact I needed to change my lifestyle, and I realized if I continued down the road I was going that I would end up with even larger pants then I was already wearing and some major health issues for all the carbs and soda I was consuming.
My next challenge other then just ordering the P90X system was getting motivated to go through it. I work a overnight shift, 4 thirteen hour shifts. Then four days off of work. Swapping back from being up all night 4 nights in a row to, going back to regular sleeping hours to be with my wife and family. On top of that going back to college full time. So my plate is full like most peoples.
It was a lot to juggle around and I believe that through Tony’s Motivation on the DVDs, the diet and nutrition guide and the great coaching staff/ blogs on the Beachbody.com web site, helped me through a lot of my challenges.
