Chandler, AZ Beachbody products took me from feeling "ok" to feeling and performing "WOW". I specifically used p90x, the recovery drink and I am now doing INSANITY! Just about to dig into the new Shakeology drink as well.

Ok, so when I think about exercising and health I do not usually think about Woody Allen, but he made a brilliant quote one day, "80% of Beachbody products took me from feeling "ok" to feeling and performing "WOW". I specifically used p90x, the recovery drink and I am now doing INSANITY! Just about to dig into the new Shakeology drink as well.

Ok, so when I think about exercising and health I do not usually think about Woody Allen, but he made a brilliant quote one day, "80% of success is just showing up". I completely believe this. Showing up in work outs means setting your alarm! Set your alarm 1 hour earlier each day. Are you willing to give up 1 hour of sleep, or just go to bed 1 hour earlier so you can? I am... I show up - every day. That makes me 80% there already. The other 20%??? Move your body... feel good about it the entire day. Guarantee it is worth it. Now, you just need to set your alarm again for the next day. Result? Success!
This applies to business, being a parent and being a friend. Business... My current manager puts it this way - not so eloquent, but a great message "Sometimes you just start talking and making up a bunch of BS and then all the sudden you are a visionary." Just show up.
Being a parent, I have read several studies that show just "being around" (showing up) creates a happier home and better rounded children - especially the presence of a father.
Being a friend, I think this one is obvious. How many friends do you know having a hard time? Do they ever really want advice? Do they ever really want you to be brilliant? They just want you to "be there for them" (show up).
Woody Allen is a pretty smart guy... Though, I doubt he could keep up with me doing INSANITY!

My story is a pretty typical one. I was in pretty good shape throughout highschool and college and then I got married! I put on about 40 pounds and with each kid I seemed to gain more. I got up to More ...
My story is a pretty typical one. I was in pretty good shape throughout highschool and college and then I got married! I put on about 40 pounds and with each kid I seemed to gain more. I got up to about 230 pounds and I have pictures to prove it. I did not know much about nutrition or losing weight so I basically just started counting calories and running and I ended up losing 40 pounds... But, there were a few problems. I started getting light headed - I was not eating enough of the right foods. I started tiring out during work outs... I expected to feel so much better but I really didn't feel as good as I looked.
Then I got my numbers from my doctor. High blood pressure, high cholesterol... Geez, what is up???
Then after putting about 15 pounds back on I started to make a much more educated approach to all of this. The answer? Beachbody... I purchased P90x about 2 years ago. Right before I got started I tore my achilles tendon and was out of commission for about a year. I dug up my p90x DVDs and the nutrition guide and got started. WOW! I felt a huge difference in the 2nd week. And I could see major results by the 30th day (in the pics). The nutrition guide taught me how to eat and Tony Horton's grueling exercises taught me how to work out - I mean WORK out! It was awesome... I have never felt better. I finished another round of P90x by mixing in some of the P90x Plus DVDs to break up the routine. I really started to put on some muscle with this.
Right now? I just started INSANITY! It ROCKS! It is INSANE and a great way to get in shape.
I have been using the recovery drink - which makes a big difference. I am also starting to get into Shakeology.

08/15/09 I actually did rest this time... Felt good. 08/06/09 So, today was confusing. It says to do the 'cardio circuit' routine, but there are no 'cardio circuit' DVDs. I looked on the INSANITY FAQs and many others had the same problem. The answer: just do More ... 08/06/09 I think a large part of my success in completing work out routines is how I was raised.
