Used to be a good athlete in high school and did lots of ballet and kick boxing/martial arts study in my 20s and 30s. When I taught I would be up and down all day. Now in my 40s I work in an office sitting all day and my hip muscles are tightening and I'm gaining weight and getting "matronly". Need to stop this now.

So I bought the Insanity workout, but I do it at my own pace. Got

I'm currently cruising sizes 14-16 and am always dressing to "cover up" with jackets, etc. My primary goal is to lose weight and get back to a 14 while also strengthening my core and back. I've started Insanity several times, saw good results, then fallen off the wagon. I have no idea why. But at least the Insanity that I have done made my resting heart rate and blood pressure really impressive for a 46 year old. I also recently gardened, digging up big peices of sod/grass, with no back aches. So the program works, but I just can't seem to stick through the whole 60 days. But I keep trying!
