Typed a long bio then lost it! Ok, here is the nutshell version. I am a 38 year old- very youthful looking, southern raised African-American mom. Struggled with weight all life. With help of therapy and self-help materials- overcame 1/2 of the link to my weight problem. Fear of abandonment. Never realized these 2 major issues in my life were connected: 1. Eating too much 2. Being adopted. Food Typed a long bio then lost it! Food was also 'love' in my southern households at home and at grandmas. Ok. So dealing with being adopted didn’t go too well- then along comes college. Left home and all I knew! Finally I get a grip on school, independence and my weight for one year. I went from 205L to 163L by weightlifting, joining the fencing club and Nutri/System. All was fine until my doc said I would never be able to have children. The bottom fell out. Never to know my past, never to know my future. 205L+ came right on back. Even left school. This was huge. Ok. Into the workforce. Met ex-husband, dated, and months later--- expected a 'miracle baby' with him! WOW!!!!! Against all odds. Ballooned to 283L. Fast forward thru 14 years of yo-yo dieting... I became a vegetarian 4 yrs ago for many reasons... ordered YBB last December, lost some lbs... 60+lbs... and last summer finally broke 200L. Now what? I need to tighten up and go for my goal. You guessed it...163! I am happy, my esteem is great (dealt with my issues- it was the only way and it was NOT easy) so now all I have to do is the physical part! That's where ordering P90 and pushing play starting- 9/8/08 comes in! HALT! Ok, so after a traumatic 2009, here I go again. Lost myself, and gained 1/2 the weight back. 207 today 1/07/10. Made some changes, got rid of the drama, and I am back in it to win it again.
