Warner Robins, GA Hi! My name is Scott Ross. I'm 44, married to a super wife, and dad to 4 great kids. I'm using P90X and Shakeology to get strong and lean, and eventually ready to complete an Ironman Triathlon in under 12 hours!

I'm 44, married to a super wife, and dad to 4 great kids. I'm using P90X and Shakeology to get strong and lean, and eventually ready to complete an Ironman Triathlon in under 12 hours!
Over the years, I put all my time into my career and family, and never understood that I could do both well and still make time for health and fitness. Workouts always suffered, especially when my knee was bothering me, unless I had a big race coming up which drove me to overtrain. Nutrition suffered, too, as I put more and more time in at work, and never slowed down to eat a proper meal. As a result, I put on way too much weight and my level of fitness dropped far below where I wanted it to be.
I retired from the Air Force in Sep 09 after 20 years running restaurants, hotels, fitness & recreation centers, and many other businesses. My favorite part of the job was always encouraging others, and now as a Team Beachbody Coach I get to do that every day with my buddies.
When I was younger, I played basketball (which I've now quit, along with several other sports), was an avid runner (6 marathons, Half Ironman, and hundreds of shorter races), and competed as a bodybuilder (5 all-natural contests). I've been in awesome shape and in terrible shape. I've used programs and nutrition plans/supplements that have worked, and those that were difficult to use and didn't help me get the results I wanted.
I've never been so excited about health and fitness products, like I am about Team Beachbody. Everything else I've tried focused on one concept to help someone getter fitter or healthier. Team Beachdody is a complete system. It combines a choice of exercise programs, healthy meals/supplements, and a foundation of solid success principles with a social structure to provide support and encouragement.
If you're like me, tired of trying and coming up short, then join me on a journey to achieving everything you've ever dreamed for yourself. First, decide exactly what you want, now and in the future. Second, figure out your powerful reasons for why you want those things in your life. Last, commit to giving everything you've got to each part of the system: (1) BRING IT every day to your fitness program, (2) FUEL UP with the right meals and a great supplement to take each day to energize you, especially during those times when you're too busy to prepare a nutritious meal, and (3) SHARE YOURSELF with others in the TBB Community by completing your profile and blogging about your experience, and CARE FOR OTHERS by reaching out to your buddies to encourage them. Our shared commitment is what will help sustain us on the journey. [if you love this part of it as much as I do, please talk to me about becoming a coach] http://www.beachbodycoach.com/2beironmandad
Good luck!

In Oct '09 I couldn't even walk. I was recovering from knee surgery to replace/repair many broken parts that hadn't been working for six months. This injury kept me from running and many other things that kept me fit and happy.
I would like to say that because I couldn't train, I was all over my diet, but that would be a lie. I had been gaining a few pounds each year since I hit 40, and due to the injury, added about 25 more! You may have been there--forget to eat at work and binge at night, stress at work and order your favorite comfort food, or just the old eat becuase you're bored and don't know what else to do. I was a mess.
Now, for the first time in nearly a year, I'm am capable of and focused on doing intense exercise...and I know that you can't push yourself physically and expect results when you're eating trash. So, I've been following my "Eat Smart" diet and have lost ten pounds in the last month.
I'm finally cleared (well, mostly cleared) to get into P90X. I've been doing physical therapy for my knee, and throwing in a few other random exercises, but now I'm focused on and committed to giving everything to P90X.
My goal is to look like the "After" picture on my profile...a photo from my last bodybuilding contest half a lifetime ago (when I was 22).
