At 47 years old, I try to stay pretty active. Some of my proudest accomplishments have been becoming a firefighter at the age of 40, finishing two Half Ironman and two Ironman distance triathlons, and More ...
At 47 years old, I try to stay pretty active. Some of my proudest accomplishments have been becoming a firefighter at the age of 40, finishing two Half Ironman and two Ironman distance triathlons, and qualifying for (and running) the Boston Marathon.

After graduating from the Fire Academy I was in the best shape of my life. However, I slowly started to lose that level of fitness and gain weight even though I continued to stay active and compete in triathlon and running events. Something was missing – a piece of the puzzle I couldn’t put my finger on. It all started to come together for me, thanks to my younger brother. I saw him at Thanksgiving last year and called him Fat Boy in that good-natured, sibling rivalry kind of way. Well, when I saw him at Christmas he looked FANTASTIC! He had lost more than 20 pounds and looked fit and lean. When I asked him what had done it, he pointed me to the products available from Team BeachBody. I immediately joined the Club and purchased P90X and haven’t looked back. I have been having a blast working out with all of my on-line workout buddies, learning about nutrition and the right way to eat, and playing the Million Dollar Body Game. I’m losing weight and seeing improvements in my swim, bike, and run times.
With my newfound energy, I challenged the ladies at the Fire Department where I work to complete a sprint distance triathlon at the end of April (I’ll let you know how it goes!). Seeing how they responded and really got into the idea was a great feeling and I decided to become an Independent Fitness Coach for MDB. Now I want to help motivate YOU! So come on, what are you waiting for?

Goals for 2009:

Starting the new Chalean Extreme program on Dec 29th - Excited to see where that is going to take me!

Complete a Half or Full distance Triathlon!!! Also, a couple of Olympic and Sprint distance Triathlons.

Complete the Las Vegas Marathon in Dec 2009.
