My major challenge with weight came after high school, after college and even after marriage...it was the pregnancies! I gained 60-70 lbs with each pregnancy. By the time I lost all the weight from the first pregnancy, I was pregnant again! The second pregnancy I was nearly 200 lbs, well 190, but close enough. I didn't lose any significant weight until 366 days later. I didn't get discouraged until 6 months later and had only lost 20 lbs. Family and friends placated me by telling me that it was ok, most women never lose the baby weight. I also heard-you were in such good shape before, you'll probably never have a flat stomach again...or my FAVORITE...don't worry about it, you're still pretty-just more of you to love (WitW?!?). It was THEN that I decided that I could and I would lose ALL of the weight again. It took a while...Two toddlers (in diapers), working and trying to fit in a workout definitely had it's share of challenges, but I'm proof that it CAN be done. I looked for a gym that had childcare and used the complimentary Personal Trainer session. After a few misfit trainers, I finally found one that was perfect for me. He was absolutely AMAZING...he acted concerned, attentive and really emphasized correct form. My metabolism boosted, but when I really started seeing results, he relocated. I knew then, that I had to really remain commited to achieve my goal...I started taking more challenging cardio classes, started eating better foods, and started genuinely appreciating the toning routines.

Now, I'm more fit than ever before. I've lost all that pregancy weight (I've worn a bikini for the past 2 years), I'm smaller and more tone than I was in college and I find the balance between food groups (because I feel that they can all benefit my body).
