Around 10 years ago a local gym opened in our area and my wife Carolyn decided to join. I hadn’t gone to a gym since I left college and hearing how she was enjoying it I decided to join also. I didn’t need to lose any weight. I just wanted to get more fit and feel better. After a few years Carolyn took up other activities but I continued to go to the gym. I do circuit training with weights and do enjoy it. I had 2 trips planned for WY where I would be hiking around at elevations in excess of 9000 feet so to prepare for those trips I added some cardio workout with the machines at the gym. I do not like the cardio machines so I gave them up as soon as I came back from my trips.

I urged my wife to get involved in some fitness routine but she would not take the time out of her busy schedule. When my Beachbody coach Rich and his wife Dawn invited us over to talk to us about Beachbody products I could not have been happier to hear that Carolyn was interested in trying one of the fitness programs. Rich and Dawn both train using the P90X system and have had great results. I’m going to start out with P90X and it looks like Carolyn will start out with the P90 system. I’m looking forward to the entire program especially the cardio and nutritional part.

For the last few years I have been hearing from friends how fit I look but I know that I’ve hit a plateau in my gym routine where I’m not seeing any improvement. That is why I’m looking forward to the P90X program. Rich convinced me that because of my fitness attitude I should join the Beachbody Community as a coach.
I believe being fit is a lifestyle and I look forward to helping others to their fitness lifestyle by being a Beachbody coach. The great thing about Beachbody is that there are so many different programs you can use. If you like to do different workouts, there is a wide variety to choose from. Just a quick update: July 13th and I'm just over 60 days into P90X and am really enjoying it! I've lost 8 lbs but my goal was to tone up and that I have! At 49 years old I'm in the best shape of my life. My wife Carolyn is also 60 days into Power 90 and she is also enjoying it. She has already lost 14 lbs! Thank you Beachbody for the great fitness programs.

Another Update: August 10 2009 and Carolyn and I have completed our 90 days of our fitness programs. As you can see in my before and after photos I had great results toning up with P90X. I have reduced my body fat to 8%. Carolyn has completed Power 90 and has had fantastic results. She has lost 18 lbs. and 18 inches! We both really enjoy our Beachbody programs and will now try some of the other Beachbody programs. Carolyn has already used 10 Minute Trainer and is now starting with a round of Turbo Jam while I'm going to try some of Tony Horton's One on One.

Jan 28, 2010; I'm still doing P90X and mixing in some of Tony Horton's One on One program. I've had great results with all the Beachbody programs I've tried and have actually stopped going to the gym. My wife Carolyn completed Power 90 and then did Turbo Jam and 10 Minute Trainer and has just started P90X. We both really enjoy our Beachbody products!

June 12,2011 It's been a long time since I did an update. In May I did The Asylum. This is a great and intense workout. I enjoyed the program and look forward to doing an Asylum/P90X Hybrid workout. For now I'm doing P90X and mixing in some X Plus and One on One workouts. I'm looking forward to the next level of P90X which should be released soon!
