I am a 41 y.o. mother of 7. I have been married 23 years. It seems that right after I was proposed to, the weight started piling on. I literally gained appx. 30 lbs in a month. I've been struggling to lose it ever since. My heaviest was during pregnancy #4 when I reached 214. What started it off for me wanting to lose weight is I was asked by more than one person, "When are you due" even though I was several months postpartum. This didn't only happen after one pregnancy, it happen after at least three. These are words that continued to dig a deep hole in me and was painful. I started getting serious about working out about five years ago. I started at WW lost about 9 lbs before I couldn't afford it anymore. Then I went to Curves and lost about 13 lbs. At this time, I became pregnant with #5. I stayed working out until I was about 7 months and could no longer fit in the machines comfortably. After only 5 months postpartum, I became pregnant with #6. I continued working out for a while and then just stopped. I wanted to get healthy and so I started working out regularly with the Slim in 6 series and would switch it up with Tae Bo and Power 90. I must say, doing the Slim in 6 made me feel like I was really doing a workout. I was exhausted. After a year I got pregnant with #7 and told myself I wasn't going to use the excuse to being fat because I have 7 children. I've decided to make a commitment to myself and my family to get healthy so I can be around a long time. Obesity and diabetes run in my family and I don't want to be a statistic.
