My name is Amy. I am 24 years old and attend Milwaukee Area Technical College working toward a registered nursing degree. I love swimming, bicycling, walking, and just having good conversation with good people. I feel as though I have lost touch with those physical activities that I used to love so much due to letting myself get so out of shape. I have been struggling to get control of my weight for about 5 years now, having used several of the beachbody programs including slim in 6, turbo jam, and I just started P90X. I have a problem staying committed to a fitness program long enough for it to work, which is why I have just continued to gain weight throughout the years. I love the beachbody programs, and I am making another effort to lose the weight. So today 7-21-2008 is going to be the first day of a new me. I can't wait to get started.

Transformation story

I am just beginning my transformation today. I am attempting the P90X program (even though I am severely out of shape). My plan is simple. I just want to follow the program by the recommended workout schedule, and for once in my life, see it all the way through and then some. From today forth I plan on looking at health and fitness as a way of life instead of considering this just another diet and exercise fad that I'm going through. Starting today, I plan to regain control of my life by first regaining control of my weight & my body.
