This ended up working to my advantage; I see so many pastries in a day that I'm not quite as prone to grabbing that cake at a birthday party. I basically started attempting to lose weight when I saw the 19- on the scale. The number afterward didn't matter, just the idea that I was that close to tipping over 200 lbs. scared me into at least attempting to improve my lifestyle. I managed to stop gaining weight by generally not being ridiculous with my eating, but I never really got into a regular exercise plan. I managed to very (emphasis on the "very") slowly shed about 20 lbs. One evening my mother and I were watching television and saw the Power 90 infomercial. I hated the idea and thought it was some sort of scam, but my mother ordered it. While she never started on the tapes, I eventually got bored and tried out the Cardio 1-2 tape. For the first time I had FUN exercising, and I kept doing it a few times a week until I essentially knew it inside and out. Instead of properly starting Power 90, however, I ordered Slim in 6 on a hunch... and I was right. I completed a round of Slim in 6 and lost very little, because I still ate terribly. But something clicked in me, and it motivated me to change my lifestyle completely. Since then I've been doing BB tapes at least a couple of times a week even when I'm off the wagon, and following Michi's ladder, which I love. I NEVER feel deprived or hungry or like I can't eat delicious food.

I LOVE the Slim Series and they've given me the best results out of any BB program I've tried, and I add Turbo Jam because it is flat-out some of the funnest cardio I've ever done. And this is coming from someone who hates cardio work! Thanks to the BB tapes and eating plan, I ended up losing about 50 lbs. and reaching my lowest weight of 142.8 lbs. Currently I'm back up in the 150's due to some serious slacking on my part, but I'm getting back in and I have to say, I really missed it. I can't wait to see 142 again, and beyond.
